Whether or not you’re “really” a real person, or a brain in a jar, or a butterfly dreaming you’re Zhuangzi, you and me and everyone else are still “people” we should respect.
Wrestling with the unfalsifiable nature of reality is something all thought traditions have dealt with, and I’d argue that you’re not really an adult in 2025 if you haven’t contemplated that all you know could be a hallucination.
The screwier question always becomes “if this is a dream , what if you’re not the dreamer?”

Even worse what if this is all cold reality and when we die that’s it and one day the universe stops and none of this mattered at all except for the capitalism?
Why is that worse? And why would capitalism still have mattered?
Besides those things, this is basically what I believe and where I find comfort when the world is infuriatingly nonsensical. You mean all the times I fuck up and looked like a fool literally could not matter less? All the shitheads out there will eventually be eaten and erased by worms along with everyone else? That’s a whole lot of weight off my shoulders’ what that sounds like to me.

We are all God’s dream. At least, that’s what I believe.
Dream because of the necessary “lower plane of existence”, less ‘solid’ than God, but I’d specify it’s a lucid dream, of course.
