- Comment on What would stop you from switching to a flip phone (or dumbphone) in 2025? 4 days ago:
It’s weird reading the responses. Our society has pushed smartphones down our throats that people can’t imagine living without one. They name things they “need” when in reality it’s all convenience in some form or another. All the while the true purpose of these devices is to listen, serve ads and feed on our insecurities, fears and anger.

Even worse what if this is all cold reality and when we die that’s it and one day the universe stops and none of this mattered at all except for the capitalism?

- Comment on If you argue for a cause like affordable housing for everyone, is it necessarily hypocritical if you also own investment properties? 2 weeks ago:
If renting didn’t exist you think people would choose it? If every person was given a spot of land and a small home at like 18, you really think they’d be like “no thank you I want to never be secure in the knowledge that I have a safe place to live until my death”? Capitalism has really done a number on you. Plus your belief that the government focuses on serving it’s citizens is just laughably insane. I’d wager you own property you rent out.
- Comment on If you argue for a cause like affordable housing for everyone, is it necessarily hypocritical if you also own investment properties? 2 weeks ago:
Your assumption that our government is somehow not for profit is the flaw here. “Someone has to own it” why not a person? Why do people have to pay for shelter?
- Comment on If you argue for a cause like affordable housing for everyone, is it necessarily hypocritical if you also own investment properties? 2 weeks ago:
Yes. Housing is a necessity. It’s not a way to gain financial freedom or security. Anyone that participates in the system of commodifying a need in any capacity is a greedy and awful person. You can’t be for affordable housing while also having some poor person paying your mortgage and shrugging that “this is just how it is”.

They aren’t a marketing company; they’re a tech company that knows how to market. Hate them all you want, and I do, but let’s be honest. Also, the M series SoCs are technological amazing. They are efficient and powerful whereas in the standard PC world Intel is just pushing more electricity through their chips to try and keep up with IPC and AMD isn’t far behind, plus ARM outside of Apple just isn’t nearly the same.

- Comment on Google: 'Your $1000 phone needs our permission to install apps now'". Android users are screwed - Louis Rossmann 2 weeks ago:
With this shift and other control based decisions Google has been making, does Apple devices start to make more sense? Neither platform offers true control over there device you “own”, but Apple at the very least isn’t a marketing company.
I can’t believe a company hasn’t swooped in and eaten Apple and Google’s lunch.
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 2 weeks ago:
This is you making assumptions based on your perceptions. In fact it reads as a defense of their, the NTs, action’s through the lens of your experience meaning this is how you treat others and don’t assume any responsibility because you’re being “nice”. OPs response isn’t necessarily one they choose; it is likely a reaction, and while they do have responsibility in that type of response, it isn’t all on them. If someone comes up to you and slaps you across the face are you going to be like “oh thank you and nice to meet you”? It’s a bit of an extreme example, but the input onslaught that is social interactions to certain people may as well be a slap in the face. Again, you’re framing this whole issue from your own experience.
