Or society dangles every kind of temptation in front of people then wags its finger at them when they partake. Your finance bro mentality is neither helpful or wanted.

“Like stocks, and art, they’re only as valuable as what people will pay for them.” Except this only takes into consideration what the rich will pay and that sets the “value”. I’m a people and my value for things is super low.

My favorite part of this whole 50 year mortgage thing is the shock that you’d pay like $1.7m for a $400k house over the 50 years while not batting an eye at paying $900k for a $400k house over 30. It’s even funnier because houses don’t have a set value, can change on a whim and have become a path to wealth instead of the necessity that is shelter.
The quality of the materials and the precision of the build has gone down while the prices rise, and everyone’s like “oh this sucks, but the market”.

- Comment on Death of beloved neighborhood cat sparks outrage against robotaxis in San Francisco 1 week ago:
No I hate humans especially those that try to make a cake out of eggs and milk. And since I know you won’t understand what I’m saying because of your poor comprehension skills I mean people that take a statement and concoct some made up bullshit to try and make a point that doesn’t exist. That’s the cake I’m referencing so we’re clear.
- Comment on Death of beloved neighborhood cat sparks outrage against robotaxis in San Francisco 1 week ago:
Someone could have taken it in, but they didn’t. The cat doesn’t deserve to be killed for not having a home or for getting out accidentally. There’s like 80 some odd million stray cats in the US, and in attempts to curb those numbers we catch and release them after being alerted because many of them are truly feral.
Homed cats should be inside only, yes.
- Comment on Death of beloved neighborhood cat sparks outrage against robotaxis in San Francisco 1 week ago:
Yeah all those feral cats should home themselves.

I know I won’t change anyone’s mind.
What other species kills at the level humans do? The shear fact you mention our capabilities proves my point; we do horrible things when we have the capability to choose not to.

Treatment isn’t a cure.
- Comment on Maybe there was a cure for human cancer, but it didn't work at all in mice. 1 week ago:
Humans, particularly those in modern societies, live outside of natural order. We don’t contribute anything to it and just use it up. We slaughter millions of animals that we first rape to keep manufacturing them like their products. The animals were experiment in often never see the sky or feel the earth. You matter more than them?
Yeah, I’m the crazy one…
