  Yeah, that makes sense. Do they need to be forming attachments to the same series that we did though? Certainly stories told by contemporary writers are more likely to resonate with someone growing up in today’s world, rehashing and up the stuff that resonated with us isn’t necessarily the best move for getting the youths on board. Let the ones with interest in the history of gaming play dragon quest and final fantasy.

  World of Warcraft. It was a magical, formative game for me as a kid who had just got his own PC. When eventually I had to stop paying subs because I was a poor teenager with no income, i always yearned to go back, and mostly played on private servers. When I finally got both the time and money to revisit… bizzard was in their cosby suite era, and the game kinda sucked ass. It felt gross and i havent been back since.

  The only quality that matters is that sweet sweet dissociation. When I lose track of time in Rimworld and suddenly its midnight, thats immersion to me. When the controller rumbles in skyrim, thats the opposite of immersion because I feel my own hands touching a controller and am reminded I exist.

  Filling out your arsenal with adversary weapons in warframe gets easier the more you do, and a lot of them are really worth while… but maxing them out? Hell no, that’s 5 forma a pop, and the valence bonus is NOT worth re-grinding out. I’m glad DE has made the Infested Adversaries easier to deal with, so the valence bonus is easier to max out but good god. that’s too much forma.

  Fear and Hunger 2 is pretty swell. The first one was kind of a bit too edgy for the sake of edginess, but miro did a much better job on the sequel

  yeah, these character designs are some coward shit. The visual novel “I will never fall for my tsundere classmate, so I’ll date a background character instead” is pretty much the exact same idea but way better - the love interest is literally just an abstract blue silhouette basically named “Regina George’s Friend”.

  Also it’s only like 30 minutes long, you KNOW this is anime’s gonna drag its feet for at least 12 episodes.
