- Comment on Not just crumbs in the CPU socket: Over 100 AMD 9800X3D chips are now reported to have gone pop and the most by far have died in ASRock motherboards 1 week ago:
I too had a barely year old AMD CPU go pop in an ASRock motherboard about 15 years ago. Bought the same CPU again and stuck it in an ASUS board and it is still running today. I know they have a better reputation these days, but this is the kind of thing that just shouldn’t happen.

It pains me to think that there soon may be a whole new employment field built around the demand for workers trained to muck out robo-vajayjay.

Never had a console growing up. Played Atari at a friend’s place, but most of us had C64 as our main, and we pirated the shit out of everything we could get our hands on. By the time NES was everywhere, the most fun stuff for me was in BBS door games. Trade Wars 2002, Modern Warfare (yes this is what I think of when I hear the full name, though MW is always Mechwarrior to me lol), Pimp Wars, and Max Headroom were some of the popular ones in my neck of the woods.

Doc: That’s an interesting name, Mr…
Fletch: Babar.
Doc: Is that with one B or two?
Fletch: One. B-A-B-A-R.
Doc: That’s two.
Fletch: Yeah, but not right next to each other, that’s what I thought you meant.
Doc: Isn’t there a children’s book about an elephant named Babar.
Fletch: Ha, ha, ha. I wouldn’t know. I don’t have any.
Doc: No children?
Fletch: No elephant books.

OP, do this, but when you use silicone caulk (kitchen and bathroom stuff), you need to use rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to smooth it out or it will stick to your finger and make a mess. Water works great for latex caulk.
