I’m not going to bother downloading this; it updates too frequently.

On the plus side the train is never late.

Oh, it was a Nazi installation?
Fuckfuckmyfuckingass@lemmy.world 1 year ago
The train doesn’t exist, therefore it can’t be late when it’ll never be there.

Damned car lobby keeping us from high speed rail in Antarctica. Just try looking up walking directions on Google maps, you just know it’ll have you going all sorts of ways because there no pedestrian infrastructure!

So, there’s a rail line throughout the entire coastline? Interesting…
FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 year ago
But not one station. You just have to try to jump on and hope you get lucky.

Penguins will help you to soft-land (is this even a word?).

Antarctica has a rail line along the entire coast line? That’s fancy, to bad it has no stations though, probably you just hop on while the train is going.

I’m surprised that train can effortlessly reach Marie Byrd Land. It’s so hard to get there that no colonizing country claimed it. And until 2048, nobody CAN claim it.

And for the record, I’ve never rode a single mile on that track, so I am one of the people who have least road it. I would describe it’s whole existence and service in black and white if there was anything black about it.

I know its a shitpost, but there are a couple tiny railways in Antarctica from many decades ago that are no longer used. source
FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 year ago
If I were to find all the most common phrases in this community, “I know it’s a shitpost, but…” would be near the top.
(Seriously though, that’s interesting. Thanks for sharing.)

Reddit had a habit of severely siloing subreddits. You’d get banned from a shitpost sub for saying something factual.
