If they’re suggesting the brain dead body of a woman be kept alive solely to breed, that’s very vassal like to me.
I regards to abortion, I absolutely believe that people start as a cluster of cells and would choose the mother’s life, livelihood, and happiness before the cluster. I think people that are “pro-life” are virtue signaling sycophants that are more concerned with being “right” over actually doing anything to help people. Imagine how many less abortions there would be if they put half of that energy into sex education, better access to contraception, and accessible education and extra curriculars. Imagine some of that energy pointed to the kids already here and needing support and care. But nah. Let’s all stand outside of a medical facility and scare the patients and be assholes online. For the cluster. 🙄

My brother in christ, this is not OG sleeping beauty, wtf. How did they expect that conversation to go down?
“Yes, I know your daughter is brain dead, but good news, she will be able to breed for the nation! What? You don’t like the idea of state sanctioned rape and forced breeding?” It baffles me that some people really just see women as a vessal. No thoughts on how horrific that would be for any woman going into the hospital (if something goes wrong, I don’t even get a respectful death), and for their families should one of the worse case scenarios occur (“You can bury her after we’ve popped out a few wave slaves”). Not even thoughts on the children that would be produced by such horrors.
Literally anything than make the world a better place for people to raise children in.
- Comment on Do you want the murderer of the UnitHealthcare CEO prosecuted? 3 weeks ago:
Honestly, no.
Not that I’m saying it’s okay to just murder folks, but, with the amount of people the people of his class have killed (either via policies or just the general fucked up shit they do), it seems hypocritical. This man was making 10mil a year killing his customers to fatten his pockets. More money than he could ever spend and still wanted more, like all of them do. People have been killed for less, by police, with them only getting paid leave, so why should I be up in arms now when they called me a terrorist for protesting, when they said “my kind” are damaging the country. People have tried to be reasonable for far too long imo, but the oligarchs just tell us to wait for the trickle down.
They can wait for my fucks to trickle down 🤷🏿♀️

- Comment on Why do the majority of women still take their partner's last name? 1 month ago:
Makes things easier for both parties when medical issues arise, even more so for parents. And I genuinely believe that a lot of women don’t know it’s an option.
I actually didn’t change my name when my mom married my dad, so you can really just say “no.” i was in middle school when I decided that, but whenever my dad tried to do anything, he had to jump through hoops. 🤷🏿♀️
- Comment on What are your favorite 1000+ hour games? 1 month ago:
Monster Hunter: Not all at once of course, but it’s a game I keep coming back to. A friend in college introduced me to it on the psp and I was invested. I’ve had some version of it somewhere since, and I don’t think I’ve ever removed it from my psp either.
Overwatch: This is from before the change, but it became a comfort game. There were no chats, and I didn’t have to be in voice chat. I was low level (bronze), but I was content. I still play here and there, but I may get a match or two in before I leave out. Back in the day I could play for hours.

I actually heard that this was most desirable in the stone age as the plumper women could survive winters and childrearing. So it is a bit like stone age photoshop, just not in the direction we usually expect.
- Comment on It's because of Gerald's Game, isn't it? 2 months ago:
He is! He goes under Joe Hill so people don’t know, but I think he’s great. The Heart Shaped Box was my first book with him and I found it a lot of fun! NOS4A2 is my overall favorite, but it’s a long one, so I always recommend the shorter one first.
- Comment on The Elite College Students Who Can’t Read Books 2 months ago:
That’s so wild. Some of these kids want to go on to be doctors, lawyers, etc., but they won’t be able to read the needed text. That’s so unfair to them.
- Comment on The Elite College Students Who Can’t Read Books 2 months ago:
Seems like the schools (not the colleges) that aren’t preparing these kids. They mentioned some students saying they haven’t had to read a full book prior to college. That’s not good. Not everything can be learned through short-form media. And it’s such a disserve to the kids. Reading can be such a joy.

- Comment on if you quit a job you didn't like or was toxic, didn't the financial hit scare you? 2 months ago:
Yes, I was terrified, but I was also having a mental breakdown. I called my mom sobbing and she was actually the one who told me to quit. I was lucky that she was around because I leaned on her for about two months.
If you can, look for a job, even if it’s gig work, before quitting. I know it sucks, but finding a job will be your new activity. In the mean time, switch to the bare minimum. Take longer breaks, use sick time, etc. Don’t burn any bridges. Spend time making a really nice resume/cover letter. Maybe even see if you can use some work resources before you tell them you’re out.
If you can’t stand it a second longer, I would sit down and see what you have and how long you can last. Finding a job without a residence (in the US anyway) is difficult, so I would not do anything that would leave you homeless. Let people around you know if you have such people. Tell your friends, parents, etc., so they know that you may be needing support. Do not tell anyone from work until you’re ready to go. Make a budget. Make one for if you have literally no money coming in so you can see the worse case scenario and have that be your starting point. You may even want to look around for food banks and so forth, especially churches during this time of year. It may not be everyday, but they do dinners more often in the winter. Write them down or save them somewhere that odes not require internet/service.
Good luck. I wish you you happiness.

- Comment on What are the pros and cons to buying a smart watch from temu? 2 months ago:
Pros:
- Cheap
- May still have regular capabilities
- not a big deal if it breaks
- They usually don’t require “service,” just Bluetooth and being connected to a phone.
Cons
- Usually they require an app, that could just be Spyware
- it will not last long
- the capabilities it will have will be a poor imitation of the original.
- Could be irritating (to the skin). It may not fit right.
- Poor battery life
- Additional E-waste when you do get rid of it once it dies.
- Comment on Multiplayer shooters should get "pure" healers that can't shoot 2 months ago:
The only reason I start shooting is if my team isn’t doing their job. You want me to go out there and heal with no protection from the enemy? They already focus on the healers as it is, and we get left behind often. I honestly would never play healer again. All the stuff you’re explaining already happens. My goal already is to avoid damage, my team is already supposed to protect me (and when they don’t/can’t, I have a weapon for that).
also, not only “girlfriends” dislike shooting, there are plenty of guys who are main healers - Comment on Why does the media print rags to riches stories? 2 months ago:
