RagingRobot@lemmy.world 3 weeks agoGood luck trying to boycott a car rental company, as far as I can tell they are all actually the same company with 5 different “brands”. You rent from one but when you show up they send you to another one who has the car. It’s crazy.

Use Turo. You can rent basic or fun/interesting cars directly from the owners.

It’s been around for quite awhile. I use Turo more than I use regular car rental services because you actually get to choose what car you’re getting and the prices are better.
