  I'm in favor. Helps fix carbon and ultimately release oxygen into the atmosphere. Essential for growing plants and blue algae, which are the basis of the global food chain.

  Couldn't live without it.

    Maybe you’d find chemosynthesis more interesting. Bottom of the ocean, using Earth’s heat, independent of the sun.

  Photosynthesis & mitochondria ( there is a Royal Institution talk by Nick Lake on the Krebs Cycle, and he mentions mitochondria in that as being central to most higher-life on this planet ) both are magic.

  Without quantum-mechanics, neither work.

  This world’s life’s totally dependent on their basis.
