- Comment on Suggest me a coop game like COD World at War 28 minutes ago:
Does it have to specifically be semi-realistic, have old guns, be military themed and in first person? Cuz I know some fine twin-stick sci-fi co-op shooters that can fill the same “shoot everything that moves with minimal effort” itch but they aren’t realistic, military themed or first person.
Like Synthetic 1 and 2 or The Ascent. I know of a couple WW2 games also similar but they completely lack co-op (or any kind of multiplayer for that matter) except for Jagged Alliance.
- Comment on Majima-Focused Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Announced at RGG Summit as Next Yakuza Game 1 hour ago:
I’ve been calling it the Soap Opera of gaming since first playing Lost Judgment.
The games are about various yakuza/ex-yakuza just living their best lives basically. The main plot differs from game to game, but most of them are what I would call an “every game.” It’s got a little bit of everything; the majority of them are side missions and mini games while the main game is a brawler/dialogue heavy RPG.
If you like video games and anime, this is a series for you because it’s basically both at once and every game is both self-contained and enjoyable on its own, but also references past games a lot.

Pretty much any licensed TV show or movie property game. Back in those days, only Disney had any sort of quality and the games still ranged from absolute crap to mid.

I think the term cyborg is reserved for actual replacement parts or implants. Because if you count Hawking using his chair, you’d have to conclude that whatever caveman that first used a tool is the real first cyborg.

You could just do LSD to get temporary synesthesia for that. 🤷🏻♂️

- Comment on No 'Sims 5' Coming as EA Updates Franchise With Multiplayer 18 hours ago:
There wasn’t anything to do. The whole loop of the game was basically akin to making a carnival midway and trying to sucker other players into your home to have their sims pay your sims for crap they could have used in their own home. All so you can buy better attractions for more money.

And these are just the popular ones.

Use a speed test site?
Also: depending on the model of your TP-Link router you may be able to flash the firmware to use OpenWRT. My first time using it was with a TP-Link router; it just didn’t have every feature.
- Comment on Why do social workers get upset when you don't want their help? 1 day ago:
California, at least, has free health care with nearly the same requirements to qualify as food stamps. It’s probably easier to get medical care here being homeless than it is if you make more money that prevents you from qualifying because it covers damn near everything and you don’t pay a single cent. I didn’t even use my job’s insurance because I didn’t make enough to stop qualifying for the state given insurance and I’d have to give up $300 out of every check to use the one given by my employer. I barely made $400 each check.
- Comment on Men: What sequence do you fellow to dry your body off after showering or bathing? 1 day ago:
I dry from head to toe. I use two towel, one just for my hair because I have long-ass hair and by the time I’m done drying it, the towel is usually pretty damp so I have another for my body.

I don’t know how they expected to succeed without any marketing. I hadn’t seen hide nor hair of this game, even on my PS5, until the day it released.

“Model collapse” is just a fancy way of saying “our stupid ideas are bad and nobody wants them.”
- Comment on Who still uses pagers? 1 day ago:
I saw something where they gave their kid a pager instead of a phone so they could still be told when to come home but couldn’t waste time fucking about online.
I thought that might actually be pretty effective except for the fact that the kid could easily just ignore your pages.

This looks more like a Smash clone, which while technically a fighting game, is generally more accessible for people who don’t play fighting games. You can be pretty good just mashing buttons at random unlike Tekken or Street Fighter.

- Comment on Grand Theft Auto Online Reportedly Broken On Steam Deck 2 days ago:
The fact that Rockstar didn’t notice this is frankly shocking and speaks to the fact that they really just don’t care.
In this case it’s more to do with the size of the company and the fact that the programmers don’t get the time to look through and find everything. Even if they did know about it, they may not get the time or resources to fix it because they have schedules and deadlines.
They almost immediately fixed the problem when that modder came to them with the fix and they even paid him a bounty for it.

- Comment on Is there a difference in meaning between the words *people* and *persons*? 3 days ago:
I think it’s like the difference between “fish” and “fishes.”
“Fish” refers to a group of the same type of fish, but if there are several groups of many types of fish, you would say “fishes.”
