That’s a cause that I would happily give 37 cents a day for. Where is Suzanne Summers when you need her???

Time for me to shine!
Just let the ice agents know that curbs tickle when they put their teeth on them.

Miss Rachel is not a radical activist, that’s Zionist propaganda. Portraying her that way, even as a joke, makes Mossad laugh.
MTZ@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
No one has attempted to portray Miss Rachel as a radical activist. She’s a children’s edutainer. We all know this.
MJKee9@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
No one? Israel and its pundits have definitely labeled her as an extremist…
SlurpingPus@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
She was asked in an inteview, “are you in Hamas?”

"Bullying“ ICE isn’t radical activism. It’s common decency.
Portraying her that way, even as a joke, makes Mossad laugh.
They’d just have made uo something themselves anyway. As evidenced by the fact that they already do so all the fucking time.
If you change your behavior or nix jokes in a futile attempt to prevent their disingenuous propaganda, that’s a victory for them that does nothing for you.

My God, we can’t even have a celeb speak out against the atrocities in Gaza without some dick heads saying “that’s not good enough so it’s worthless”

Nowhere in this post says that she is. Bullying ICE agents is not radical activism. It’s just being a decent person. Which she is.

Ok friends, today we’re going to learn how to shoot a L1A1 12.7 mm (.50) heavy machine gun! If you don’t have one of those, a M2 Browning .50 Caliber will work just as well! 🎶 Load the chamber, load the chamber, put the ammo in! Put the ammo in! Aim it at your enemies, aim it at your enemies, pull the trigger! Pull the trigger! 🎶

I really need a skit where somebody in 2026 is consulting the spirit of Fred Rogers (of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood) about how to help your neighbor and he gives them a treasure map to the location of a buried cache of AK47s.

Whatever you want to do to an ICE agent, do instead to the people living in the biggest house you can find.
ArchAengelus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 weeks ago
Except for your first sentence, I would agree with you. Protest somewhere the ruling class can see you.
Don’t hurt people directly though. The point of protesting is to shame leaders into change. Starting a war helps no one.

Except for your first sentence, I would agree with you. Don’t hurt people directly though. Starting a war helps no one.
You seem to be assuming I meant some sort of unlawful harm. My phrasing was quite deliberate: I advocated no specific actions whatsoever. You brought “hurt people” and “starting a war” into this conversation; not I.
The choice of what actions to take is left to you; I am not involving myself in that decision. My advocacy is strictly limited to the choice of targets: Do not take direct action against ICE agents. They are merely a distraction from the problem class. Redirect any action you might choose to take against ICE to the people getting rich while the rest of us starve.
I will raise one point:
The point of protesting is to shame leaders into change.
Our leaders are shameless. There is no point in trying to shame the shameless. The purpose of protesting must be something else. Otherwise, protesting is pointless.

It’s also fine to punch a Nazi.
13igTyme@piefed.social 2 weeks ago
I enjoy that I can say everyday is punch a Nazi day without being banned.
Liuone@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Should be illegal to not punch a Nazi.

We need laws that make it illegal to actually be a Nazi (and to codify supporting Nazis as criteria of being one).
If you have a provable track record of doing things that are textbook Nazi, that should either be a capital crime, or loss of basic rights (aka, people can assault you at any time with no repercussions).
That is a very specific thing that is honestly weird there isn’t a law about. There isn’t a single good thing to say about any of them. They’re never beneficial to anyone in any way beyond furthering their cause, and there’s nothing positive to say about that cause.
We need to naturally select them out of our continued evolution.
InputZero@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
While I agree in principle, in practice policies like that end up backfiring. In this case the Nazi’s have taken over responsibility for enforcing the anti-nazi laws and wouldn’t you know it, the actual victims are the Nazi’s gosh darn it. It’s the anti-fascists who are the real fascist by preventing the fascist from the right to express their facism.

Strangely though there are anti communist laws on the books in lots of spaces in the US
