My woke ass actually feels empathy for others, so of course I am depressed watching them get disappeared.
- Comment on Switch 2 demand appears to be flagging as Nintendo reportedly lowers production 2 weeks ago:
Oh I have an Ally. One of the big reasons I wasn’t going to get an S2. I was just about to get a bigger battery for it when I got the S2 gifted to me.
- Comment on Switch 2 demand appears to be flagging as Nintendo reportedly lowers production 2 weeks ago:
I loved my Switch but wasn’t planning on getting a 2 due to cost of device and new games. I was gifted one for Xmas, and while I enjoy it, outside Mario Kart (that came with it) I haven’t found a new title made specifically for S2 that I wouldn’t buy for the other consoles or PC. I’m just playing some older catalog stuff, or games that I would prefer on the go. There’s no new Zelda, Mario, Splatoon, nothing 1st party to keep driving a console. It boggles my mind they didn’t have more 1st party lined up for the first year of launch
- Comment on Is school cafeteria food in America trash? 2 weeks ago:
It absolutely depends on where the funding comes from. I know someone who works student nutrition for a school district that doesn’t receive state funds, it’s all county school tax funded. They chose to contract out to a company that provides the food. Usually this is a recipe for disaster, but they actually provide high quality food. All fruit or vegetables are fresh, not frozen or canned. All food is prepared fresh daily, no microwaves. Their food is so good, every employee that she knows, eats the food too. This is in stark contrast to prison food level quality found in many districts.

I worked at Office Depot. I had a customer call in and ask how much the lawn mower tires cost. Told them he has the wrong store, we don’t sell them and then proceeded to hear him bitch me out about how I don’t want to do my job and help him.

Ah you’re right. I was using DLSS as a catch all term forgetting fsr is the AMD version
- Comment on Nvidia "confirms" DLSS 5 relies on 2D frame data as testing reveals hallucinations 2 weeks ago:
Instead of doing this bullshit, can we just have regular DLSS be actually good? I can’t stand turning it on for my handheld because it’s a blurry, smeary mess as is.

So you paid billions to be on this board thinking it would actually promote peace?

Clean as fuck bathrooms, pretty decent bbq, affordable snacks, jerky for days, cheapest ice you will find, they pay their employees a fair wage…
We are dumb, but not because of this.

Not OP, but when I hear this argument, a lot of schools wouldn’t let you go to your locker between all classes. That, or your classes were so far apart, you didn’t have time to go even get to your locker between them. There were some days I could only get to my locker once.

I tried a natural mosquito repellent with this in it and was shocked at how effective it was. I’m a mosquito magnet and it worked just as well as the ones with deet.

Some people like to track receipts for bookkeeping or needing a return. Knowing you actually got a receipt vs. the cashier assuming you don’t want it and throwing it away.

Talking “proper” calibers is the equivalent of what Linux distro is best. It comes down to how accurate and quickly can you shoot under pressure. By most standards a .22 is too light a round to stop someone, unless you can precisely hit the head and potentially multiple times. A 9mm is kind of gold standard starting point for self defence. Like someone mentioned, if you aren’t a great shot, or feel like under pressure you wouldn’t be accurate, grab a shotgun. Just racking one can stop some people from attacking.

I use passive but my wife uses active ones from Walker. Their passive isn’t quite as good, but plenty for range use in case the batteries die.

- Comment on What's with companies naming things "MyNoun"? 2 months ago:
What pisses me off the most about this is when I search for your app. It doesn’t start with your actual company name, I have to check alphabetical, see it’s not there. Go to install your app only to find I already had it, it’s just listed as MyInsertnamehere. Infuriating.

I recently had to move with my physical book collection and swore I wouldn’t do it again. I converted it all to ebook now. I’m down to about a dozen physical books, not counting comics and TPBs.
