Asked in a funny way, but what do you think legitimately? Why do people kiss? Is it evolutionarily advantageous? Why not just touch ears together or something? Why do you personally kiss? Do you also wonder why is kissing?

Lips and tongue are erogenous zones that you have fairly fine control over, and aside from feeling nice, pressing your face right up against someone else’s chompers is a sign of mutual vulnerability and trust.

This. Put another way: mammals use our mouths for sensing and manipulating. Note that people naturally use their mouths and noses to kiss and smell babies and pets on places other than their mouths.
If we instinctively use our mouths to kiss things, it’s natural that when two people want to do this at the same time they’re going to both do it to the other person’s mouth.
