  It’s probably true. They’re at least not as brainwashed and irreparably fucked in the head as many Redditors, since they turned that site into thinly-veiled Stormfront (I guess Anglo-Saxon/Western restless rage was brewing there but Trump made it all look okay?) and they seem to be okay with it. 🤷

    The tankie servers are a pretty big part of Lemmy and they’re pretty fucked up, too. I’m not even anti-communist, but that particular brand of leftism is definitely fucked up. They’re only somewhat tolerable because they’re very far from being in power and at least pay lip service to most progressive ideas.

  Honestly I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this but from my experience the average Lemmy poster seems kind of dumber than the average reddit poster, or at least more anti-intellectual, outside of certain instances and communities specifically dedicated to tech stuff. I really don’t get it because Lemmy is more confusing to set up than Reddit and I always imagined people who were into the fediverse to be on the more tech savvy side but I’m constantly surprised at confident incorrectness and how much it gets upvoted.
