I drink pickle juice regularly, after exercise and after mowing. Good way to eliminate cramps.
It's got electrolytes

I hate pickles and pickle juice. Always have, always will.
That said, whenever I have bad heartburn, I take a shot of straight pickle juice (the vinegar kind), and it goes away.

Never knew I had slavic tendencies. I’m picky though it has to be Claussen dill.

Picked in vinegar and sugar or salt brine? Because vinegar and sugar is just an uncarbonated soda with less acid and more sugar.
Scott_of_the_Arctic@lemmy.world 8 months ago
If it’s Slavic Gatorade then it’s brine. Although what the guy in the pic is drinking is sugar and vinegar.
amlor@lemmy.world 8 months ago
Homemade is usually in salt brine.

Usually vinegar where I come from. Wayyyy better

My inlaws took in a Russian family a few years back. It was quite the culture shock for them to get a giant jar of pickled tomatoes and drink hole glasses of the brine. I like pickles and all, but that’s just too much 😆
