- Comment on If a sandwich is defined as any food item between two pieces of bread, then a layer cake is a type of sandwich. 5 days ago:
One of my favorite cakes is a chocolate traditional cake and frosting but the inner layer is raspberry jam. It’s so good.
- Comment on Why is my GPU's "3D" usage spiking so wildly when I'm not even playing a game? It keeps throttling up and throttling down and the noise is extremely annoying 5 days ago:
I can use your “fiddling with your os” as an argument against Linux too. Driver changes, software updates, software in general can cause ANY OS to require fiddling with to get back to operational.
- Comment on Spicy food never affects my gut and everyone thinks it's really weird. How unusual is this and what could be happening to explain why spicy food doesn't affect me? 1 week ago:
Nothing about your comment came across as a joke or tongue in cheek.
- Comment on The Witcher 4 Developer Calls Xbox Series X "Extremely Challenging" for 60FPS 1 week ago:
You have 2 options for the S. Aim for 60 fps, or 30fps. If you target 60, most newer engine titles will look like the new Doom did at 60 fps, garbage. You have to run at such a low resolution to make it possible. At 30fps, you can at least not look like your screen is smeared with vaseline at the sacrifice of smoothness.
Give the player the option of 30/60 so they we can play how we want.

My wife’s family is full hispanic, and most of them can’t approach the heat levels that I, a white guy, can take. I could always take spicy food, and no, it didn’t take years of being around it to build tolerance. Some people can just take high heat.
Such a weird take basing spice tolerance on race.
- Comment on A game you "didn't know it was bad 'til people told you so"? 1 week ago:
A lot of people didn’t like Assassins Creed Odyssey, but I loved it. Only AC I’ve played since 2.
- Comment on Why do some people hate drinking water? 1 week ago:
Grew up on well water, it tasted funny. Most water I tried to drink was from water fountains, tasted like copper. First bottled water I drank was Dasani, and it tasted like hose water. So I thought all water tasted like ass.
I didn’t get that water could taste good until I drank actual bottled spring water. Now I have nice water filters that make my tap taste just fine, and I know what brands of water to buy if I need to.

I read this as Portal 2, I was like, it’s controversial?
- Comment on Inside the 'Dragon Age' Debacle That Gutted EA's BioWare Studio 1 week ago:
I agree, Mass Effect was/is gaming pop culture at one point. Almost every gamer I know has played or at least very familiar with ME. That number is maybe 1/4th for DA.

- Comment on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s success caused the dev team to reconsider how it should approach future DLC 4 weeks ago:
Unquestionably GOTY for me. It’s also the best game I’ve played in years. I am not a diehard rpg player but have played plenty since the 90s. I describe it as a love letter to the best jrpgs made, but without the long drawn-out stories.

- Comment on Why can I get a credit card for $2,000 at best buy for dumb shit but can't get a care plus card for dental work? 4 weeks ago:
Some store cards come in 2 varieties and are not visa/Mastercard, etc, and will only work at the named store.
Usually, a card branded only for the store requires lower credit scores vs. an actual Visa/MC etc.

In your defense, the installer should have alerted you were short on space prior to starting the download.
- Comment on Kids nowadays don't have many (if any) videogame heroes... 1 month ago:
I think a lot of it has to do with how we game. Older generation games we tended to play an actual character. Then gaming shifted to be immersive, where you, the player, are the main character.

Outside the super common ones like Mario, Zelda, Quake, etc…I’ll list some pretty early ones.
River Raid Comixzone Flashback Castles
A good chunk of my early pc games were demo disks from magazines

It is the LEAST intuitive UI of any popular app I’ve ever seen. I was recently trying to join a channel from a website that required a code to input, and absolutely couldn’t get it to work.

- Comment on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Won't Include the DLC 2 months ago:
I think Nintendo thinks they have so much nostalgia, and loyal customers, that this generation they really said “fuck it” and are twisting the knife to see how much the consumer will tolerate. I’m not going to be surprised if we see price drops and actual sales (not 10 bucks off a 5 year old game like they usually do) by the time holidays role around. I don’t think they are anticipating the pushback that is happening.
