It can be very engaging. But if you consider that they don’t have any internal consistency, you always lose

It sounds like a very iffy thing to police. Since drawn stuff doesn’t have actual age, how do you determine it? Looks? Wouldn’t be great.
- Comment on 25 arrested in global hit against AI-generated child sexual abuse material 2 days ago:
Even in cases when the content is fully artificial and there is no real victim depicted, such as Operation Cumberland, AI-generated CSAM still contributes to the objectification and sexualisation of children.
I get how fucking creepy and downright sickening this all feels, but I’m genuinely surprised that it’s illegal or criminal if there’s no actual children involved.
It mentions sexual extortion and that’s definitely something that should be illegal, same for spreading AI generated explicit stuff about real people without their concent, involving children or adults, but idk about the case mentioned here.

I don’t really engage often with them, I’m just interested in hearing how they view stuff, how it differs from me, how they reconcile this and that and so on.

On some level I’d like there to be an actual conservative sub since I like to check in on the Reddit alternative’s goings on and what their takes on this or that is. But I can understand why some wouldn’t want to share a platform with those people. Some of the stuff is pretty bad

I’ve turned off voicemail for the last 15 years. I just don’t see any use for it when everyone has a device capable of sending messages now.

I’d imagine they’d recommend you pick alternative service, but it’s still a possibility if one wants to do military service without weapons.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
Vegan, gay and not willing to use weapons you’d still be eligible in Finland. But you can also just say you want to do alternative service and don’t have to be in the military.

- Comment on Oh look, more concentration camps! 1 week ago:
I was just saying that news that at least in theory often try to be objective shy away from using such terms because of their associations. Reminding people of how Nazis went from concentration camps to death camps is valuable but I’m not surprised if a news site doesn’t want to do that.
- Comment on Oh look, more concentration camps! 1 week ago:
I guess it’s a fitting term
A concentration camp is a prison or other facility used for the internment of political prisoners or politically targeted demographics, such as members of national or minority ethnic groups, on the grounds of state security, or for exploitation or punishment
The reason why news is hesitant to use it is because of the association with Nazi death camps. In my experience that’s what people usually think of when they hear concentration camp.

It’s just that you claimed I’ve used the term.

Who out there is using more strict citation rules than academic papers?
I wasn’t asking even for the same rules, just saying that even when there’s the expectation that your reader does academic work when reading you don’t put in a whole book.
I stand by these words and add to them: Fuck you tone policing. Go fuck yourself a second time for the behavior I called out here. Punk ass.
It’s the rules. Take it up with mods of this sub and instance.
