Oh people forget to not feed trolls everywhere; that’s hardly a Lemmy phenomenon.

Those are reddit comments

I’m not sure how this relates to my statement.

Yeah I’m thinking red won this debate.

As far as I’m aware, the only mandated and enforced expiration dates by law are for baby food manufacturers.
Everything else is a vendor suggestion.

The US market regulations (except California for some reason) are surreal. $7.25 minimum wage, chlorinated chicken, bleached flour, lying labels etc.
Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 6 days ago
Apparently this is all about bird feed. Does this stuff normally have expiration dates?
hark@lemmy.world 5 days ago
Your fart ends where my face begins.

Isn’t it amazing how thousands of years of technological advancements have led to the marvelous invention that allows us to have civil, deep, intelligent conversations with people on another side of the far away at speeds that our ancestors could never have imagined?
SippyCup@feddit.nl 5 days ago
I think our mistake is assuming that our ancestors wouldn’t have also asked if your parents were related and farted as a hilarious insult over a stupid disagreement.
People have always been people. We just do it faster now. And probably quite a bit less violently.

I want to smash everything but then I have to get over my anxiety and just realize that humanity was destined to destroy itself and everything around it. We might be here just to watch the world burn. The flux is just too much and at this point I am 0 commitment with a reductionist approach. Little to no attachments. Child free for me. They’re gonna have to start charging us for air because I will literally just stare at the wall then participate in nonsense. The leader is a follower and the follower is a leader that is dead. If there is a hell, it’s inside our head.

I love watching NPCs so much
Lumidaub@feddit.org 6 days ago
Because people WILL go and harass users whose names they’ve seen in screenshots. Sure it’s usually not hard to find them anyway but you don’t have to make it extra easy, do you?

Fno I’ll answer to all my emails like this
andybytes@programming.dev 5 days ago
So basically what you’re saying is there’s no nuance online. It’s just caveman nonsense. Expiration dates are like a double-edged sword. If you’re trying to prep, you know, you can have canned food for a long time, past its expiration date. But for the sake of capitalism and moving product, people hoarding food is not necessarily good idea. Also, there’s a potential that there could be something wrong with it. Different foods have different shelf lives as well, so. There is also the argument that when eating fresh produce, it is way healthier for you. Like the principle, if the food still has cellular activity, it’s going to transfer into your body. It’s better for you. It’s at peak nutrition. Minutiae matters but not in the era of lowest common denominator thinking and it seems the global herd turd is horny for war…guided by the unseen hand but yet it will be send the kids. Conscription is right around the corner. Poor breeders…too stupid to know they are stupid. “Suckers and losers.” - Donald J Dump youtu.be/Lgk1yhp40wc

I’m thinking we don’t exactly want everybody on Lemmy. Just the people who’d actually put in a little bit of effort.
Yes, I know this is the shitpost community.

Y'all are delusional if you think Lemmy doesn't have this shit already. The main dev is legitimately in contention for the most cringe person on the Internet.
Burninator05@lemmy.world 6 days ago
Shit. Did Elon buy this too?
match@pawb.social 6 days ago
i don’t agree with him but while he is cringe, he is also free

For reeeeal, I want an internet univeristy town. If I wanted to deal with a dumptruck full of dickbags all the time, I would move to Boston and go back on reddit.
Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 5 days ago
Its hard to say, because I also want more niche hobbies to actually have content on lemmy. Ideally I want reddit users that only look at the front page to stay there, and every hobby subreddit user to come over.
ByteOnBikes@slrpnk.net 5 days ago
I thought about starting an extremely niche community and the moment I finish posting, I actually don’t want to deal with commenters/posting regularly/moderating.
