Do you mean acronyms or initialisms?
I know what an initialism is and I definitely know the difference! It’s you who doesn’t because you won’t explain in detail real quick!
Acronym is said like a word (NASA, FEMA). Initialism is just the letters (FBI, CIA).

I once got asked at work when our SLA and KPI will be BAU.
I’ve got a friend that, when cornered by acronym soup, starts discussing very detailed analytics for whatever they’re talking about. He says the acronyms don’t matter as long as the audience is sufficiently bored by whatever your answer is.

That’s the beauty and curse of language. It is constantly morphing and changing depending on public sentiment. I truly believe in another 40-60 years, “fuck” will be a perfectly normal word for a 6 year old to say instead of “oops”.
Oops and fuck do seem mostly interchangeable.
“get oopsed”
That’s how we ended up with a 6 year old in the first place.
I think get oopsed has legs. Going to try it out on my kid next time he tries his luck with me in Nidhogg.
Why not 5-letter acronyms? I mean, “NSDAP”?
Just a lot more of them.
