I was just saying what they used as evidence for ending the student uprising. I’m not saying it was acceptable. I’m just pointing out the acts that they used to back up their actions. All of those students weren’t even aware of this. They didn’t know what they got pulled into. It was tragic.

I mean. If labor unions killed people. Like they did during some of the coal mine riots. It gives the police and at times military freedoms to retaliate.
I grew up where the sheriff of my county killed 25 people in a single day before miner unions were allowed to exist.
Look up the Williamsport Mine Field Riots. They treated these people like animals. Just like the CCP treats their lower workers.
I’m not a tankie. I just know what happened on the ground that led up to the violence. I was in a masters program for counter terror.

They were manipulated by CIA plants that were murdering Chinese army soldiers. So. There’s that part of the story that caused the states response.

We technically have a space in a city by me. But it’s like 12 random desks and some video conferences rooms. No way we could actually go back to the office. That sucks for you guys tho. My old man lost his long time remote role and is back on the road again every day.
- Comment on Ubisoft Fires Team Lead For Criticising Stupid Return-To-Office Mandate 1 week ago:
This is why I’m so happy I’m 3000 miles away from my office. No way I’m getting a call back to office. Never was and never will be.

I hope people knew I meant boses. Not noses. But ya. New job is for a Chinese firm. Haven’t built up my PTO to take off yet. Plus Fridays are so busy for me. I can’t miss.

My Chinese noses would fire my ass so quick. I’d have to take the day off. But I can’t even do that because of how much business I’m on.

I remember on a Meets call with my Israeli coworkers and they had to go to the bomb shelter because of rockets.

Ya. It’s disappointing. But there are so many foundries in Israel. I’m not surprised. This is also why I don’t believe in terrorists. If anyone really wanted to stop Israel. They would target their foundries. But no one would dare mess with capitalism on that level.

Just a heads up. 91 billion in data centers is held up by local politics. Won’t be built. So expect this to soften the Ai market.

My father bought my nephews laptops for Xmas and didn’t talk to me about it before purchasing. He got them an i3 for one and a Ryzen 7 for the other with both having 8gb of ram for the memory and I just sighed. Like what sales person convinced you to go with 8gb of ram for Windows 11? So sad for their use.

But you see. That’s the solution. Now you pay foreigners to clean up the generated code by offshoring the engineers. At 1/100 the cost.

My company received an email from Microsoft this week.
“From our data you are not selling Ai features as much as your competitors and we suggest that you start changing this or you will be left behind.”
It was a completely bullshit email. But the stupids at my company are now worried that Microsoft is tracking the features we’re selling with our computers. Like if that wasn’t the most glaring red flag “we have spent way too much money on this and we need you to prove we aren’t dumbasses” I don’t know what is.
I still will not sell Ai outside of its basic uses. And I’m backed up by the old heads in my department. Ai is not for everything.

I bet we’ll start to see domestic terror attacks against server farms when more of the population loses their jobs to this bullshit.
I ain’t saying I’m going to do it. But a man burned down the governors home in Pennsylvania. People who lose their homes and lives are not going to take this shit well.

Ya. Material items hold memories and it can feel like losing someone close to you when that item is lost as well. My uncle gave me my grandfathers class ring after he passed and I carry it with me to every sports game I go to.
