- Comment on A growing number of young chinese people are avoiding Starbucks Coffee. US executives are furious. 3 days ago:
A lot of suburban sprawl in the USA doesn’t have good local coffee shops around and Starbucks is the best, or at least reasonably close, option available to get a fancy caffeine fix.
Plus they serve lots of things other than over roasted drip coffee.
I like some of their iced drinks and macchiatos. But I like sweet garbage with too many calories. So my palette isn’t exactly refined. However, that’s a lot of the reason is just lack of options and people genuinely like their sugary sweet drinks and will pay a premium for everybody’s favorite drug caffeine.
- Comment on People have private conversations on speaker phone but if I participate then I'm the crazy one 6 days ago:
Damn, sometimes (because I’m a miscreant) I like to jump into convos or make a comment on them if someone is being really loud about it especially if they’re on the phone with another person.
I mean, I rarely do it because people are crazy but sometimes I can’t stop myself.

McDonald’s would be a hell of a lot cooler if they were funding Satan worshippers. Can they bring that rumor back and confirm it this time please?

Oh yeah I won’t pretend he didn’t move crowds to coalesce around the Nazi philosophy, he was obviously popular enough to pack stadiums.
Hitler and Goebbels, hell the whole Nazi party, we’re really good at the propaganda game. I’d say they really were one of the early pioneers of the use of mass media to steer people into alternate reality. Much like how we see social media being taken advantage of today.

He wasn’t that eloquent honestly. Just … Boisterous, loud and probably about on par with Trump when it comes to just packing stadiums and getting people riled up over social problems. Problems that were complex but he had simple answers to.
I’m really tired of all this “Hitler was a genius” bullshit, not only did he make terrible military decisions but he ran a government that was in disarray all the time. Constant turmoil followed him and many changes in personnel in important offices oftentimes just seemingly at a whim.
Not saying you’re making that argument and honestly I get what you’re saying but my God I have met too many people IRL and online that would suck Hitler’s dick in an instant. You’re right though, this timeline is dumb as fuck.

That’s really cool, you have your own little army of familiars following you around. Sounds like you need to be careful with the possible feeding bans. Hopefully you don’t catch any trouble.
All I’ve heard about magpies is they’re assholes though!

That’s pretty sweet, I don’t have any bird friends.

This is like the difference between normal and right. Like I know a ton of people normally search for answers by putting full questions in. With the advent of LLMs and AI being thrown into everything asking full questions starts to make more sense.
For actual good results using a search engine, for sure what you said is better.
- Comment on dear republicans, what's the point of alienating every single ally of the US? 2 months ago:
I know that’s why I thought it was funny! Got to find the humor in this mess right now. Hoping we can right the ship but right now Trump is steering us into an ice berg full speed ahead

Regular people are dumb af they elected that orange shit stain while he spit in our faces.
So I’m not really confident they’re gonna connect any dots.

Funny you think they’re going to actually pay down the debt.
- Comment on Do spiders poop ? 2 months ago:
That article is really fuzzing up the definition of “poop,” I’d argue over half those entries are just how the thing poops weirdly. I guess if you get into semantics it may be technically true but I just consider pooping to be eliminating bodily waste so to me that whole article is like, “look how oddly these things poop.” 😅

Just because they live in a clown world doesn’t mean we do.
Honestly at this point I don’t know if any Trump voters are intelligent enough to understand how wrong they are and how they’ve enabled really shitty people to do horrible things.
Like, genuinely, is it worth even trying to be nice or have a conversation in good faith when it’s basically impossible to do that even if you try. These folks are so far divorced from reality you can’t have a good faith convo because they don’t respect truth and won’t engage in good faith themselves.
You can’t really force these idiots to understand how wrong this shit is when they seemingly can’t even comprehend it. Like they’re just genuinely that fucking dumb.

It does seem like the pie chart is a little off from that but not by a ton, probably close enough for Internet stranger shenanigans
- Comment on Might be fun idk 3 months ago:
I want to know the source for that and if it’s actually accurate. It does feel right though.

Man I had a hard time understanding his vocals but that might have just been the sound mixing on the broadcast. Heard that it was clearer on YouTube or other places to watch just the performance by itself. Probably easier to make out in the stands, no idea though.
If I listened real hard I caught some of it but that’s probably also because my ears are not tuned well for a lot of hip hop just in general I have a hard time picking up lyrics for a lot of rap artists.
Still, you’re spot on with the racism perspective - honestly it’s just people whining it’s not “their” kind of music. Ok, well, taste is subjective and I thought it was a banging show even if I didn’t clearly hear everything he said. Conservatives just want to be racist but pretend they’re not racist. When I hear someone say, “I’m not racist,” 95% of the time it’s because they’re racist and said or did some racist shit.

I think when you’re probably shooting (as in filming) stuff you can’t just shave your head in the middle of an ongoing project.
Otherwise I’d agree with the sentiment he should actually shave his hair but in this specific circumstance it doesn’t feel disingenuous.

You can’t really keep them from getting back up, they won’t stay on their sides perfectly balanced because of the curves on their legs. And I’m even so they could “kick” their legs to push them to be able to get back up.
Just in case you’re wondering in the future if that will work.
- Comment on I can imagine the "will you be using the mobile app?" question to get cheaper food is going to devolve into the Mark of the Beast and someday no one will be able to buy anything without using the apps 6 months ago:
If you’re cool with McDonald’s knowing your location (or at least an approximation of it, not sure how much data gets passed through) keep it turned on.
The app has geofencing tech so when you get close enough to the restaurant they’ll start making it. I’ve had mine ready when I get there most of the time. Of course that depends on how busy they are but just fyi
