- Comment on Marathon | Launch Gameplay Trailer 1 day ago:
This actually looks like it might be good. That said, I’ve only got a steam deck and I doubt this will run on deck, so I’ll not be playing it.
- Comment on 1 day ago:
Such a shame, it’s so obvious what’s going to happen :(
- Comment on Silent Hill: Townfall - Reveal Trailer | PS5 Games 1 day ago:
A silent hill set in England! Looks good too. In the unlikely event that this runs on steam deck, I’ll be playing it.
- Comment on Let's take a moment to remember the time period when everyone had to adjust to using dual-joysticks on controllers. 3 days ago:
I bet you give em rim jobs too, you tail-lifter.
- Comment on 3 days ago:
I’m not surprised, with those trailers on steam - it looks great! Anyone here played it? I’m tempted, but I’ve got a long queue.
- Comment on Games you really want to play, but can't or won't? 1 week ago:
Ah, fair enough. I played it for a bit and then moved on, partly because the steam deck was struggling with it. TBF I’m impressed the steam deck could play it at all.
- Comment on What is the definitive way to play certain games? 1 week ago:
Silent Hill - alone, in the dark.
- Comment on Gaming market melts down after Google reveals new AI game design tool — Project Genie crashes stocks. (A.K.A . Investors panic because they don't understand what "real" videogames are) 1 week ago:
That’s all it does so far.
But I doubt AI games will succeed, people are always going to want the human touch when it comes to art.

Great, you’re in for a treat
- Comment on Games you really want to play, but can't or won't? 1 week ago:
Yeah, same. And my hands are fucked up, and my reflexes slower. Shame, I used to like that sort of game when I was younger. Ho hum, plenty of other good stuff to play.
- Comment on Games you really want to play, but can't or won't? 1 week ago:
That’s a shame, I really enjoyed it on my steam deck
- Comment on Games you really want to play, but can't or won't? 1 week ago:
I played it on steam deck about a year ago, and TBH it struggled. Though it’s probably been optimised better since, I think development is ongoing. Still the best driving game I’ve played.
- Comment on Players are returning their Dispatch copies due to Switch censorship 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, also if we argue that violent videogames don’t cause violence - what’s the problem with sexual content? If they’re censoring sexual stuff because they believe videogames if corrupt and change behaviour, the violent ones should definitely be banned.
Also - I’m using Google’s Android keyboard and just realised the dictionary didn’t know the word ‘sexual’. Just in case someone might try to write something spicy. FFS. It knew ‘violent’ though.
- Comment on DuckDuckGo poll says 90% responders don't want AI 2 weeks ago:
They were trying to argue that it was legally responsible for its own actions? Like, that it’s a person? And not even an employee at that? FFS
- Comment on DuckDuckGo poll says 90% responders don't want AI 2 weeks ago:
I’ve found it useful for a few things. I had had a song intermittently stuck in my head for a few years and had unsuccessfully googled it a few times. Couldn’t remember artist, name, lyrics (it was in a language I don’t speak) - and chatGPT got it in a couple of tries. Things that I’m too vague about to be able to construct a search prompt and want to explore. Stuff like that. I just don’t trust it with anything that I want actual facts for.
- Comment on Why do you need a launcher? (asking older gamers actually) 2 weeks ago:
It’s there, and I’m lazy.
- Comment on France will replace Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, Webex and others with its own sovereign video conferencing application "Visio" for public officials 2 weeks ago:
Nah, you can always come up with new combos. They could have named it ‘squonchy’ or ‘flurgled’, for example.
- Comment on Ubisoft target audience when they play a good game 3 weeks ago:
Yeah I played it for the first time last year and I couldn’t really get into it. Gave up a few hours in.
- Comment on What if the Internet Goes Down? - 15 Jan, 7PM CET 4 weeks ago:
So much of our infrastructure uses the internet now that if it goes down I wouldn’t be shocked if electric grids, healthcare, shopping, public transport, etc also shit the bed.
- Comment on Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney argues banning Twitter over its ability to AI-generate pornographic images of minors is just 'gatekeepers' attempting to 'censor all of their political opponents' 4 weeks ago:
So he’s politicising child abuse material now, and associating it with the political right. He’s not incorrect, but it seems like he needs to think before he opens his idiot mouth.
- Comment on Microsoft Office has been renamed to “Microsoft 365 Copilot app” 5 weeks ago:
I think it was the verge. . . But a quick search yields mixed results. I dunno, honestly!
- Comment on Microsoft Office has been renamed to “Microsoft 365 Copilot app” 5 weeks ago:
If it’s true, it seems like a crazy idea. Whether you like office or not, it’s a known brand and people have been using it for a long time. Throwing away that name recognition has to be a bad idea, especially as many people are increasingly resentful at having AI shit forced down their throats.
- Comment on AI-Induced RAM Crunch Could Push Next PlayStation and Xbox Past 2028 1 month ago:
Doesn’t that rely on everyone having a fast internet connection with a high data cap? That’s not the case for a lot of people

Hey that looks good actually. Wishlisted it for when I have more time.

No, really it was a large slug. And TBF Mortimer is a great name for a slug.

Yeah, the steam deck does this, it’s a great feature.

Didn’t he buy a massive yacht on the same day steam announced these products? It can’t be easy to sneak a superyacht under the publicity radar, but he seems to have pretty much managed it.
- Comment on Gaming Laptop with Linux Preinstalled and 32GB+ RAM? 2 months ago:
Yeah I have a gaming laptop and I haven’t used it since I got a steam deck.
