Or how about you just stop buying from that cancerous blight on our society altogether?
- Comment on dear republicans, what's the point of alienating every single ally of the US? 4 weeks ago:
They need the talking heads on Fox News to tell them how to answer that question first.

Yeah, no thanks. These people were fine with all the hateful and cruel shit the Republicans pedal until it affected them. Whether it’s because they themselves are cruel or just morons, that’s up for debate. But either way, I will not consider them an ally in this. They’ve got to change their shitty ways first.

- Comment on How is the Stock Market keeping it's value after *points to everything*? 1 month ago:
Because the stock market isn’t a measure of how well a country is operating. On the contrary, deregulation allows companies to boost profit via harmful means. Rich people got it good under Trump/Republicans and therefore the stock market thrives.

- Comment on Microsoft Study Finds Relying on AI Kills Your Critical Thinking Skills 1 month ago:
I’m a senior software dev that uses AI to help me with my job daily. There are endless tools in the software world all with their own instructions on how to use them. Often they have issues and the solutions aren’t included in those instructions. It used to be that I had to go hunt down any references to the problem I was having though online forums in the hopes that somebody else figured out how to solve the issue but now I can ask AI and it generally gives me the answer I’m looking for.
If I had AI when I was still learning core engineering concepts I think shortcutting the learning process could be detrimental but now I just need to know how to get X done specifically with Y this one time and probably never again.

- Comment on what was the last game you played in 2024? 2 months ago:
I just started getting into Deadlock and that was the last game I played in 2024. However, I only played for about an hour. Before that, in the same afternoon I played Foxhole for about four hours and Balatro for two.
Vacation ends the moment I put my phone down and go to sleep… It was a good time.

Assuming I could force somebody to poop on command with little effort beyond sheer willpower, I would absolutely take it upon myself to dish out petty justice with that power.
I see you being rude to people working in a service job? You get poopy pants.
I see you playing music on your phone or otherwise being obnoxious on the bus or some other public space? You get poopy pants.
Are you driving like an asshole? Following too closely? Cutting people off? Honking the moment the light turns green? Words can’t express the satisfaction I will feel in knowing that you’re now sitting in your car with the poopiest of pants my power could possibly muster.

Frankly, this take is profoundly arrogant and indicative of why the Democrats lost to Trump (again, arguably again-again).
This implies that the Democrats could not have possibly done any better, or at least submits to the idea that there is nothing meaningful to be learned from this failure. It projects onto the general electorate a deterministic outlook, that they were always going to vote for Trump no matter what as a way to shield the Democrats and ourselves from accountability.
This is a difficult time time for all of us. We are looking down the barrel of another Trump presidency, one that promises to be a significant tragedy in the history of our nation. It hurts to know what’s coming and people are resigning themselves to complacency in order to ease the pain.
But if we want to stand a chance the next time around, we need to understand that the Democrats played a role in their own demise. We need to demand better, not make excuses for them and perpetuate the mediocrity that has been the Democratic platform over the last decade. We can’t just hope for another deadly crisis to get us out of this one.

An index that either tracks the top 500 companies or the total market. Look up a 3-fund portfolio if you want to go a little deeper.
