Human nature dictates we do things before we discuss if we should do things.
To me it starts getting into a philosophical discussion but unfortunately I don’t think as a species we are mature enough yet to have these discussions.
A good real world example of this is in Canada the separation movement by Quebec vs. Alberta. In Quebec there have been years of open public discussion before they ultimately took a vote. They were painfully away of all the nuance that came from leaving Canada. They did it right to a large extent. Compare that to Daniella Smith in Alberta and she’s hammering through the mechanisms for a vote to happen meanwhile the public has absolutely no understanding of the ramifications of if they do vote to leave Canada. They’re doing it wrong.
Human nature by default seems to want to change the front tyre while doing 120 on the highway. This needs to change.

Is the article about Google or Apple? Really easy question for you.

I don’t use apple for the same reason I don’t use fisher price as an adult. You are free to use your technology made for babies that’s beside the point. The point is that the article in discussion is about Tim Cook and Apple providing a recent bribe to Trump.
Your comment is providing no value. You are attempting whataboutism and really shows the type of person you are more than anything.
To be clear, if googl was caught bribing and someone said “buh buh buh Apple!” If he saying the same thing. Stop sucking dick like they owe you something to take a side.
When Google bribes Trump with a 24k gold gift let’s discuss Google then ok?

Article is about Apple not Google.

You don’t make any serious money from a casual hobby. These people treat it as a job, because it is one.
Many streamers start while either in school or working full-time until they reach a point where they can hopefully quit their job and stream full-time. Many don’t get there.
It is possible.

- Comment on AI slows down some experienced software developers, study finds 1 month ago:
I bet it slows down the idiot software developers more than anything.
Everything can be broken into smaller easily defined chunks and for that AI is amazing.
Give me a function in Python that if I provide it a string of XYZ it will provide me an array of ABC.
The trick is knowing how it fits in your larger codebase. That’s where your developer skill is. It’s no different now than it was when coding was offshored to India. We replaced Ravinder with ChatGPT.

Fun story. I once put my car on a site called lease busters because my ex and I were looking to get a bigger vehicle and there was 3 years left on the lease.
It’s long lost to time but I had a dude message me saying he would be willing to take the lease but said I could keep the car and insurance under my name.
Like what in the absolute fuck?!

So I wanted to have 9 kids but ended up finishing out at 3. So technically a savings of 6 kids! I’m helping the environment!
Being pedantic a nebulous “having one fewer kid” means nothing unless there’s a benchmark. I think they mean “having one fewer kid as a country average” so if the average Canadian has 1.26 children per women we want to see it .26 per women.

Sigh. The responses you get really dishearten me. We really are moving fast to a binary world where everything is good or bad and any opportunity for nuance is thrown out the window.
You are of course 100% correct.

There’s a reason I’m very adamant at hating Apple for a multitude of technical reasons. This is but one of them. It’s a shame too because their build quality is really S-Tier.

Same reason it continually sucks to get a working Linux build on an apple laptop or desktop.
As bad as Google is, they’re lightyears ahead of Apple in terms of protecting their products in a walled garden.
