The chicken itself is probably fine. It would taste like any sauced chicken you get at an American Chinese restaurant.
That rice was heinous though.

The chicken itself is probably fine.
Duck a’laronge is fine. The acidic drink might even have worked as a marinade. We have coq au vin as well.
One time I made chicken with pears and pear cider. It worked well.
I think this dish is better than it’s made out to be.
Fuck that rice though
I think this dish is better than it’s made out to be.
It’s made with ~11 cubes of sugar for a single portion. She just made awful rice with candy.
Yeah, I did not expect the rice to be the part that made me the most sad.
That rice could probably have been cooked for another hour or two. I mean, I’m sure that you can still see the individual grains.
Rice is wetter than an otter’s pocket.
Can’t tell if she over cooked her rice or undercooked her congee
Honestly if it was cooked in chicken stock instead of water it would be good congee.
I’ve never put chicken stock in a rice cooker, but I kind of need to know.
I did steam some nachos in there one time. They came out perfect. When I excitedly told a few friends, they all universally gave me concerned looks. I decided to retire the recipe while I still had people around me who weren’t ashamed to be near me.
Very clever using imgur so we can’t defend ourselves because we can’t see the image.
^we probably deserve it though^
Na, it really isn’t fair.

The same tasteful result as her interior decorating.
Nigella Gruesome.
All it’s missing some peas and gravy
Raw chicken on a wooden chopping block… that’s not a good idea is it?
It’s perfectly fine if you maintain your cutting board properly. In that case it is safer than plastic.
Wash it with soap and water, then let it dry. The wood itself is naturally anti-microbial, so it will sanitize itself as it dries.
We pour coke on the christmas ham, but this is where a draw the line.
coke is a great marinade for pork, especially tough chops.

I remember this american lady that would use coca cola on a LOT of her recipes.
