They have to have more than enough ram bought up at some point, cant be scaling up infinitely
- Comment on RAM and SSD prices are still climbing—here’s our best advice for PC builders 6 days ago:
They are manufacturing only 35% of consumer ram compared to what they were before? The supply is really going down?

I just blocked 3 different ppl for posting blurry old low effort reposts, is this new? I haven’t really sctively used lemmy in a month or two, didn’t seem this bad before
- Comment on Totally unhinged 1 week ago:
This user spams a lot, I kinda prefer empty lemmy to the same mfs spamming low effort facebook posts
- Comment on Latest Steam Deck update will warn you if an Xbox controller needs upgrading 1 week ago:

- Comment on It's kind of funny how many late 90s games had at least one drum and bass track 1 week ago:
Asphalt Legends does, im getting some free enjoyment out of it on my handheld, kinda like how the ai doesnt rubberband, feels good to mantain a fat lead compared to burnout
- Comment on I'd buy it. 1 week ago:
What even is reddit humor, reddit humor to me is narwhals and whatever wholesome sht you think lemmy is about, dorky nerdy cringe sht, this is more twitter humor
- Comment on I'd buy it. 1 week ago:
What does that even mean, I say that ironically sometimes, but I think some ppl genuinely seem to think of reddit as some other culture, maybe it’s just the same ppl being extra polite because they got banned and are scared of it happening again rather than them actually thinking diffferently
- Comment on Samsung to halt SATA SSD production, leaker warns of up to 18 months of SSD price pressure, worse than Micron ending consumer RAM 1 week ago:
web search isnt magically going back to how it was, and its not just search engines its every mf trying tk take advantage of seo and push their content to the top, search is going to get worse evry year, ai did speed it up by making a bunch of ai images pop up whenever you search an image

- Comment on Samsung reveals first tri-fold phone 3 weeks ago:
Nah its perfect, I always forget or dont wanna carry my tablet, trifold is the perfect size for reading comics when I feel like it. Also a decent size screen for shows and android desktop potentially. Android desktop seems to be moving towards linux support maybe. I stopped following along.
- Comment on Microsoft spent two years and $1B developing the Kin mobile phone line, which failed after just 48 days in 2010(May 14-June 30) due to poor sales. They blamed Verizon for not promoting it enough 3 weeks ago:
No apps or games just social media. I see why it failed
- Comment on Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead 3 weeks ago:
I dont even want to build a computer anymore, finally saved up some money and I shouldve just continued spending it on overpriced festivals (crazy how it also used to be a deal and now its just 500$ minimum for ticket and shitty hotel)

- Comment on Looking for a good Lemmy mobile app 3 weeks ago:
Out of my current apps, only voyager has it for posts and comments at all times and kinda thunder (for posts when clicked on) But it could be in the settings for more and I haven’t checked.
- Comment on Looking for a good Lemmy mobile app 3 weeks ago:
Thunder for general browsing, voyager when thunder doesn’t work for something. Like no dms in thunder, so I’ll swap to voyager for that. I just like the look and feel of thunder.
- Comment on YSK that americans can now deduce private jet expenses from their taxes 3 weeks ago:
I was more thinking taxi/uber, rather than the general population flying themselves lol, and car crashes are very common
- Comment on YSK that americans can now deduce private jet expenses from their taxes 3 weeks ago:
The population was well trained after being drafted, some war ended (idr history that well) and we had a fat surplus of pilots, eventually they increased the hours needed for training, etc. to bring those numbers down, and up until recentlly, we apparently had a shortage, according to google.

- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 4 weeks ago:
No one brings planes into sht, why don’t mmos have magic planes, idk if seeing it in random anime as a kid changed my expectations but we should have ww2 magic based planes. Bothers me so much that fantasy societies are supposedly so smart, have such advanced magic, but couldn’t come up with magic cars. Like suspension, engines, etc. are just too complicated for them.
- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 4 weeks ago:
I want to see more modular building for vehicles and bases and fun traversal options. So many open world walking sims, it gets old. Or fun mounts that are more than just faster walking. (Rdr horses but fantasy beasts that ride differently)
- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 4 weeks ago:
whyd you write my comment for me
- Comment on YSK that americans can now deduce private jet expenses from their taxes 4 weeks ago:
We couldve been a flight based country instead of cars if we went in another direction, when we had more pilots than planes
- Comment on YSK that americans can now deduce private jet expenses from their taxes 4 weeks ago:
Maybe this somehow makes them start manufacturing planes again, remember seeing those homelesss pilot photos when they had a surplus of pilots and not enough planes or ppl taking flights
Can’t find an image on google was “will fly for food” or something like that.
- Comment on Windows 11's adoption is much slower compared to Windows 10, claims Dell 4 weeks ago:
Pretty good for live transcription, are blind or partially blind ppl using it? Translation I guess. Better recognition. Idk how useful the language models specifically are, ai everywhere else is useful. Like in gene sequencing and making mediciine. Ai can like find diffrerent combinations that make the same result, idr why thats good, just that itd take humans many many years to simulate what they can have ai run through.
- Comment on Settings you believe ANY game should have? (This is me advocating for a restart/reboot button on ALL games) 4 weeks ago:
Grappling hook with freedom on wear to place it, swinging physics, idc if it makes sense, ill take it in all games. And wingsuit gliding, I may have been one of the only few ppl online who liked that in battlefield. Such a funnway to traverse the map.
