- Comment on The recent Steam censorship debacle actually sort of opened me up to adult games. 1 day ago:
It seems less bad to me, I actually have to use my brain a little, idk I get bored using the same content daily, every one in a while I’ll use vr, comics, books, or a game, but tbh whenever I start to need something extra like that I just don’t jerk off for a day to normalize, don’t want to enter the gooner mindset
- Comment on The recent Steam censorship debacle actually sort of opened me up to adult games. 1 day ago:
Its wild how gooning and porn are so normalized to the point they harass real woman in their comments and dms 24/7 but god forbid a porn game, I like them ocassionally, when I don’t want to be lazy and I’m in a gaming mood, it’s like reading some Choose your own adventure erotica with visuals, but the story is porn story adjacent

Imo plasma settings/options can be a bit overwhelming, cinnamon can be underwhelming lol, as a former cydia user, I really like toggleable extensions with indidual settings that can be as complex/basic as they need to be.
My main issue with plasma is I cant stop tinkering with my theme/ui because the settings are so easily accesible. I get distracted easily. Gnome with a few curated extensions helps me focus, realized on accident using it because davinci resolve had issues on kde plasma using the global menu (didn’t resolve after removing the menu)

Or they did compsci degrees like most schools offer not software engineering and didn’t actually learn how to code

Start looking into desktop environments, everyones quick to suggest distros, but de imo is more what matters day to day, most distros just work and will help you grab the same stuff in different background ways and/or with different terminal commands.
They should all have de options or have community alternatives of them that come with a certain de like kde or gnome.

- Comment on Game prices should have increased with every new generation, former PlayStation US boss says 1 week ago:
Yeah it’s hilarious to me they wanna charge more and don’t expect to sell less. Ppl would go from being iffy about indie games to checking them out more if 4 at base price cost what a AAA one does
- Comment on Setting up a server for a research team. What should be in my checklist? 2 weeks ago:
Im confused, we had servers at our school, it can be whatever thats accessible over ssh, but should also only be accessible through school vpn/network, guess thatd be the default if its stored at the school. Maybe make sure it has wake on lan for convenience. Btrfs snapshot for easy reversals.

Im progressive and in to tech, I dont like fking generative ai tho its the worst part of tech to me, ai can be great in the medical field, It can be great as a supplementary tool but mfs dont use it that way. They just wanna sit on their asses and get rich off other ppls work
- Comment on Lemmy be like 2 weeks ago:
Why does being progressive and into tech mean being into ai all of a sudden? It has never meant that, its the conservative mfs pushing ai for a reason. You think any sort of powerful ai is about to be open source and usable by the ppl? Not expensive af to run with hella regulations behind who can use it?

ive been using apple music for years, mainly like how for edm it tends to have highquality recorded live sets for all djs, and they are seperated instead of being one long continuous track, like youll get
- song
- song2/song3
- song4
- song5
- song6/song7/song8 Most convenient way to listen to them and get all the track names.

Yeah especially around middle school, the “darker” the “joke” the more funny it was

- Comment on When was the first time you cried over an anime? 3 weeks ago:
I feel like it had to be earlier tho, cant be the first time I got emotional over anime, bet it was digimon or the pokemon movie where pikachu seems dead or whatever
- Comment on When was the first time you cried over an anime? 3 weeks ago:
Hard to remember them, Eureka 7, I think the whole ppl on the other side adopting him and really treating him like a son after he ran away, scenes with his grandpa would make me tear up (I was like 14/15 when I watched it so renton was very relatable, he was like me at 13, then by the end he grows and matured past me at the time after all the sht he went through) I really like how all the characters are written in that show, they actually have real emotions, change over time, feel real, hella diversity.

- Comment on Itch.io has begun restoring NSFW content, but only if it’s free 3 weeks ago:
overall if you do end up using it, its prob to play the dressup game, actually using that game to jerk off is tedious, like might as well find vr porn and even thats tedious might as well just jerk off real quick and move on
- Comment on Itch.io has begun restoring NSFW content, but only if it’s free 3 weeks ago:
There are infinite but imo all extremely mid, virtuamates pretty cool tho (or fked up depending on how you see things) because ppl make 3d models of celebs and you can mix it with anymocap, so its like gooner holodeck) but its ends up being a dressup posing game and I feel like im a kid playing my sisters barbie or whatever targeted at girl games and forget my original purpose. Like the sheer amount of addons out there is insane, you could do a full physics tv show in there if you really wanted.
Its not like superreal looking but at the right lighting/angle/facialexpression they kinda look like the ppl they’re supposed to be. Weridly the most realistic looking models I saw being sold were of men like the rock looked 1:1.

much easier to treat workers shittier if they can be replaced by h1b workers who can be treated even worse since they have to rush to find a job if fired to not get deported, and the ones that do stay are sending money back home, that money is not making its way back in the economy, also being indian what I hear from them in their “private” communities in hindi is that they hate western views and have no intention of staying here (which I guess conservatives would love, but there are so many ppl that genuinely want to be here and cant, I hate seeing that sht)
