I also understand that reddit is more of a cuprit when it comes to a zero click internet, and thats because ppl summarizing in comments and no one clicking the article. The ai summary is shorter then a human one would be, its literally one sentence, summary already exists discouraging a human summary so ppl click the link for more information. I bet ppl are more likely to click links with a tldr than they are with a reddit top comment summarizing with sources and whatever else

Yeah, volunteer moderation is also an issue, any decent ppl doing it get burnt out if they get an influx of ppl and quit also like lemm.ee
- Comment on Here's your first look at the rebooted Digg | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
summaries are a non issue, stealing other ppls work to pass of on your own is
- Comment on Here's your first look at the rebooted Digg | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
Guess this particilar use of ai just isnt an issue for me, I personally have more problems with lemmys use of generative ai and hyping it up
- Comment on Here's your first look at the rebooted Digg | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
Becuase the app is in alpha lol, its janky everywhere, has no settings or customizability uet, cant even make communities yet, ill give them the benefit of the doubt that you can turn them off or auto hide them
- Comment on Here's your first look at the rebooted Digg | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
True, but its a tiny summary one sentence, im less likely to click the link when I see the fat human written summary at the top of reddit comments
- Comment on Here's your first look at the rebooted Digg | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
its not a comment its in the post and its alpha, they’ll prob add an option for it to be closed by default.
- Comment on Here's your first look at the rebooted Digg | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
yeah it doesnt look bad at all, thatll prob come later, the ai in use right now are a nonissue imo
- Comment on Here's your first look at the rebooted Digg | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
Not like itll prevent ppl from clicking on articles that alrady werent

yeah I had some blender visuals I made that only look good high quality because of the detail and it looks sick as my desktop wallpaper with hidamsri but horrible and blurry viewing it on youtube at the highest quality

- Comment on Is Google about to destroy the web? 1 week ago:
I just want a platform for independent creators with no ai or clipping, wild how that doesn’t exist, or just a platform for creatives, will never happen, my feed will always be ppl yapping about nonsence division over race, gender, religion, never what I care about, which is entertainment, idc all I care about is art and entertainment not why ppl hate all men, women, black, indian , etc. ppl or why someone else saying that hurt them, it never ends.
I don’t want it gone forever, Im not delusional enough to expect that, I just want it not to be pushed on my feed or allowed on the platform im on. Just one space for art/entertainment free from all that, or a return back to how the internet was when I was a kid, before social media and reddit killed everything.
I just want to see original content made by people trying, some effort put in, time spent editing, creating, planning, etc. I don’t want to waste my time watching stuff where people don’t put any time in themselves. Clipping and Ai is so annoying, if ppl want to post their own content thats fine, but my feed on these platforms ends up being purely twitch streams, tv show clips, movie scenes, low effort ai video generation, etc.
Ideal platform would require your content actually being original, ppl posting unoriginal low effort content would actually get banned, no direct prompt to video/image ai, fine if its used ethically (masking tools, etc.) and in an actually skilled way (very rarely do see that on ocassion by 3d artists combining their stuff with ai), but the vast majority are throwing out low effort garbage to spam content hoping it hits the algorithim and blows them up so they can automate and make money)
Never happening tho.
- Comment on what fediverse software is similar to lemmy? 1 week ago:
Know this isn’t a suggestion post but it made me think of what I wish was being worked on. Might as well try to tackle webdev and fail as I’m unemployed lol.
Kinda wish we had a torn like lemmy (im very late to discovering that game lol), some of its features are appealing, think itd be fun to gamify social media, like temp bans put users in jail and you could see all the users in jail currently (get real extra with it and let ppl vouch for ppl tying their account status to theirs for the remaining duration of the ban in case of new infractions and bail them out)
Piefed already does trust value, having different tags at different values that could be customized per instance could be fun. Like 10% troll - 100% saint on one.
Be a fun way to use a point type system on purely meaningless stuff, I do like that there is no realworld value at all in that game (bannable), just a fun little dopamine hit of numbers and images. Encourage donations through that.

they are all either labeled as porn or censored so you have to click and show your age, but its always very obvious that its porn, also hidden by default I thought

free domains available elsewhere or 1$ a year
- Comment on Is there a way I can easily set up my own federated instance for free or no? 1 week ago:
or yunohost plus any other free vps, just look it up, idr where else has one, some places have credits if you signup with codes or off certain links like hetzner has free credits, vultr, and some others too, lowendtalk also has hella cheap vps under 10$ amonth that can support lemmy + more apps easily, the issue is space fills up fastish after a few months, and I think by default in the yunohost version theres a pictrs error that makes photo uploads crop weird you have to fix. (if you upload photos through it)

Tell your favorite small youtubers, the ones you know always reply, they have high incentive to post to more platforms and try to get more visibility by being early to a platform like peertube.
- Comment on If you can afford it, PeerTube is having a fundraiser for its mobile app 2 weeks ago:
We need more middling youtubers that have high quality content but low views to post there, a lot of scrappy low effort unedited stuff on there
- Comment on We have to solve the money problem! 2 weeks ago:
Yep, cant even see how much they got a month or anything like that as far as im aware, there are some piracy sites where the donation number stays at like 200/350 goal forever and it feels like you really never kniw if they’re just making bank and pretending to be in need lol

There are always exceptions/outliers to any rule, it’s basically playing devils advocate to bring them up, I never care for it, like a conversation about someone murdering someone for funsies and saying but there are cases where people should be murdered like the joker from batman
