Hopefully not. Dogs shouldn’t eat that kind of thing.
- Comment on Get ready to see ads on your… Samsung refrigerator 1 day ago:
Much better than my current Samsung fridge where that obnoxious Samsung rep has to come every week to plaster a new ad on the door. At least it won’t leave glue all over the floor.

You can get a licence from Nintendo if you like.
- Comment on Microsoft still can't convince folks to upgrade to Windows 11 1 week ago:
the biggest selling feature of Windows is its ability to be backwards compatible and run on older hardware
Really? I thought it was supposed to run older software, I don’t think hardware comes into it.
- Comment on Microsoft still can't convince folks to upgrade to Windows 11 1 week ago:
As a non windows user, I don’t get to interact with Microsoft systems an awful lot, but to me windows 10 felt like a complete system while windows 11 always feels like an early beta for some reason. It has some kind of unfinished, wet paint quality to it.

- Comment on I have this corner in my basement 2 weeks ago:
Well, since you’re being so nice about it, my advice is to kick your partner out and get the cat you always secretly wanted.
- Comment on I have this corner in my basement 2 weeks ago:
Having examined the picture for several minutes, I can indeed confirm that it is a corner.
I’m not sure what size it is, as you’re using mediæval units, but I think a cat tree would probably fit in there. If you don’t have a cat, just put the tree, and leave the door open.
- Comment on I saw what you did there 2 weeks ago:
Just have your friend sit on the side of the bucket to stabilise it.
- Comment on Tea is basically just salad water. 2 weeks ago:
Lettuce famously was (and sometimes still is) braised (other salads are cooked as well), so the answer to that is, 'that depends".

- Comment on Mastodon says it doesn't 'have the means' to comply with age verification laws 2 weeks ago:
For the last 20+ years, I’ve been trying to get people to understand the point of free and open formats with pretty much zero success. For the most, they just don’t care if somebody else owns all they data. Maybe if something really bad was to happen to them or a loved one as a result, they’d change their mind. Then I’d get to tell them “that’s what I’ve been telling you for literally decades”, but what would be the point?
Not technical people will never get it.
