    Scully believed in the high level idea of the X-Files since nearly the very beginning. That’s why she stayed loyal to Mulder. Scully often doesn’t believe in specific theories pushed by Mulder in individual episodes, and she is often correct that his initial theory is wrong.

  Scully…. you’ve witnessed more insane shit than the average FBI agent ever would in their entire career.. how could you not believe in conspiracies…… Unless you’re part of it and you were assigned to be my partner so you could be more of a handler, keeping me away from the truth but close enough to not figure it out Scully….     Yup, the real world conspiracies are all pretty much out in the open. The ones that are hidden, are not hidden well. This is mostly because being rich and powerful doesn’t make you smart.

      Also re: every FBI file. I learned a long time ago that a file != a case. If they dont have a file on you, youre not doing enough.
