Aton, somewhere, was crying, whimpering horribly like a terribly frightened child. "Stars - all the Stars - we didn’t know at all. We didn’t know anything. We thought six stars in a universe is something the Stars didn’t notice is Darkness forever and ever and ever and the walls are breaking in and we didn’t know we couldn’t know and anything - "
Someone clawed at the torch, and it fell and snuffed out. In the instant, the awful splendor of the indifferent Stars leaped nearer to them.
On the horizon outside the window, in the direction of Saro City, a crimson glow began growing, strengthening in brightness, that was not the glow of a sun.
The long night had come again.

Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Sony didn’t own him, Universal did. After the original trilogy and first racing game the series’ original developers (Naughty Dog) left to work on Jak and Daxter and Universal farmed the property out to other developers during the PS2 days. The games weren’t very good and sales declined so eventually they just stopped making them.
More recently they put out a remake of the original trilogy and a new sequel that did alright, but I guess not well enough to keep milking the franchise.

The words “extremist”, “ruffalo”, “2030” and “pedophilia” don’t appear anywhere in the linked article. How does it provide context?

The Latin word for cow is “vacca,” which is where the word “vaccine” comes from.

No. The Infinity Gauntlet was first published in 1991. Captain Planet and the Planeteers didn’t air until 1993. You’re just thinking of what’s new and popular instead of the old-school classics.
