Plastic is very durable, will it make my brain last longer?
Also plasticity of the brain is a crucial function, if it benefits the plasticity that would be great too.
What is acceptable amount of microplastics you would allow into your brain?

It, checks notes, makes you stupid.

This is not a matter for personal action.
It’s up to environmental scientists to figure out how we can deal with it, and then it’s up to lawmakers to make the laws accordingly.Of course if you are in the USA you are probably on your own. 🤔

Please post a picture of the tag on the shirt you are wearing right now.
The overwhelming majority of microplastics in your body are polyester fibers, and most of those originally came from textiles.
bstix@feddit.dk 1 week ago
we could control it if we took it seriously
I doubt that. It’s already too late. It’s literally everywhere.

42 microplastics.

420 microplastics?
fuzzy_feeling@programming.dev 1 week ago
all i can do is 69 microplastics…
southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 1 week ago
That’s the answer
DragonsInARoom@lemmy.world 1 week ago
You cannot choose what the world throws at you so the acceptable amount is the amount that doesn’t cause a problem
Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 1 week ago
What if you have no idea what that amount is?
DragonsInARoom@lemmy.world 1 week ago
Them you either don’t know enough about the subject to do anything about it, or it doesn’t matter
Scolding7300@lemmy.world 1 week ago
All of it, if it helps with neuroplasticity

As many as I have now? They aren’t coming out and I don’t plan to off myself because of that.

See also lead. Its similarly in all of us.

Preferably none, but I guess the max would be when it began affecting brain function.

100%. I’m trying to convert my brain matter into an acceptable substrate for circuitry.
LuxSpark@lemmy.cafe 1 week ago
You probably need microsilicons for circuits. Microplastics are similar to micropotato.
NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 1 week ago
Nah, I can just implant the chips. Need an insulator as substrate for mounting the components.
