I love this. Except that he is using charcoal instead of the clean-burning efficiency of propane

It it occurs to me it would be funny to see him and stewie griffin debate over proper use and pronunciation of the silent h.

I’m here from the cult of woodfired and smoked, the latter, latter day saints of deliciousness. Do you accept the holy trinity of oak, mesquite and applewood as your lord and saviour?

Been in a prolonged battle with a Bradford pear in my yard. Say what you will about their flaws, I’ve never cooked over a tastier wood and I’ve never seen a tree grow faster than I can burn it. I’m gonna miss that pearwood flavor when i finally win.

Wood. Cherry, hickory, etc. Not charcoal.
boonhet@sopuli.xyz 1 day ago
Go cut down an apple or cherry tree in your yard and make charcoal out of that. Very different from store bought cheap charcoal
Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 23 hours ago
Real lump charcoal is almost as good as wood for flavour. Cheap Charcoal briquettes are almost as bad as cooking with gas.
fleem@piefed.zeromedia.vip 19 hours ago
first you gotta grow it from a sapling though, or it’s just amateur hour
Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 1 day ago
Charcoal is better than anything but wood. I’ll allow it.
