the thing is, there’s nothing stopping you from making that a reality
- Comment on If sexuality is a spectrum, does that mean one person is the gayest? 1 week ago:
that’s a beautiful thing. so, what moment were you all at your gayest? have you ever been THE gayest?
- Comment on Can't argue that. 2 weeks ago:
well it convinced me, but I’m stupid and already made up my mind that I wanted to see a reply like that

- Comment on Why is the human body so incredibly bad at responding to colds? 2 weeks ago:
bad at it? you literally rest for a week then recover, as opposed to dying. your pretty fucking good at it. you just don’t know how bad it could be
- Comment on A lot of people make the mistake of thinking they have real life plot armour 2 weeks ago:
I dunno, i just dont see it that way. im an organism who experiences the world from my own perspective but i understand nothing about that makes my perspective special. the only extra duty i have is to care for myself because i am myself and im the best one for the job, most of the time. maybe i did have ego death or something?? i dunno, i never thought about it as being the main character or side character. when i see the ilk of Elon Musk talking about things like NPCs it just blows my mind how … “single-minded” people can be

- Comment on Why It's OK to Block Ads (2015) 1 month ago:
living adfree is so great. sometimes it’s jarring to hear an ad in the wild, but it’s a nice reminder of how much better I’m living
- Comment on If I stood on a precision scale and farted, would I get lighter or heavier? 1 month ago:
if you put an empty balloon on a scale and then fill it up while it sits on there, would it get heavier or lighter?
it would press on the scale less but it’s mass would increase

- Comment on Working Overtime at the Disease Factory 1 month ago:
crisis counseling is really fun. had to do a course on it in grad school. there’s a whole ad hoc assessment process where you’re monitoring everyone at the shelter and a whole triage process for who to give what services to.
very fulfilling work for people who like chaos, esp all you ADHD brains who can’t focus until someone’s missing a fucking arm

Delusional disorder is a thing but that requires belief flying in the face of evidence. Can’t ascertain that without a good faith 1:1 convo.
beyond that it’s a matter of what harm comes from it
