OneUI means Samsung.
Samsung means: can’t do shit in the US, limited shit outside of the US. AFAIK most custom ROMs, especially for higher end Samsung’s are OneUI based. They also make it difficult (or impossible?) to use VoLTE/VoNR with custom ROMs because of their own proprietary IMS stack

Not quite.
$16k to get closer to what they promised lol Probably won’t do that much considering the added weight

I agree on the part that Musk sucks, OpenAI also sucks.
And yup, open source (if you can really call them that, I’d say they’re more like openly available) locally hosted LLMs are cool and have gotten pretty efficient nowadays.
My 5 year old M1 MacBook Pro runs models like Qwen3:14b at decent speeds and it’s quite capable (although I only ever use it for bullshitting lol).

I don’t think the video was bad and I’m glad desktop Linux is getting a good amount of attention this way.
But… I feel like he didn’t exactly show windows users what really expects them on Mint (which is a very similar but in many ways better and quite easy experience). This might be off putting to some unconvinced Windows users.
His Hyprland setup looks cool if you’re into that sorta thing but it’s just not what users just switching to mint, fedora, whatever might be looking for.

LLMs themselves certainly aren’t tho
Not saying there aren’t any issues with them but still

- Comment on can't beat the classics 4 weeks ago:
Well in some ways they are. It also depends a lot on the hardware you have of course. A normal 16GB GPU won’t fit huge LLMs.
The smaller ones are getting impressively good at some things but a lot of them are still struggling when using non-English languages for example.

Pretty sure £4 is below minimum wage, especially since you’re exposed to such hazardous materials?
They should be getting way more for taking care of this monstrosity.

I always think I like the idea but then, once I think about it for like 12 seconds, I realise that it is, in fact, absolutely useless for most people because the internet is quite fucking useful and almost always necessary lol

- LTE/NR goes into RRC IDLE state pretty much immediately once you’re on WiFi so the actual time of transmission (and even reception with DRX) is incredibly short
Not that it matters, those 23±2 dBm are nothing to worry about

Are you sure? I think I remember windows phone having a pretty big shutter button on the camera app. The image also looks way too bright, might just be a map.

Looking at it this way, I’d call the “mainland” part West Taiwan

Why is this even being discussed?
Are they discussing renaming Taiwan to China as well?
