It was definitely in agreement. There are way better uses for our resources, people, and talent than on things like AI. That’s not to say that no one should have a tech job in AI, but the overwhelming push to expand and adopt it is insane.

Yes, it’s totally okay starve millions of homes of water and jack up their utility bills to be able to summarize articles and write emails. (/s)

Yeah I don’t get how he was taken so seriously for so long by so many. I get that not every rapper needs to come from a broken and messed up background, but his verses don’t hit that hard due to all the inauthenticity, as if he did grow up on hard streets lol.

It’s a small thing but I appreciate how you didn’t use the image of the rapper of the original meme who seems like an overall terrible person.

There was an obviously fraudulent charge on my PayPal account and I submitted a request for a refund that got rejected by their automated system. I had to email back and forth PayPal support directly as well as the business involved, showing evidence of multiple address info change requests in quick succession and other strange things about the purchase. When things stalled I threatened to bring the issue to the FTC consumer protection bureau and finally that put the fire under their asses. Eventually I got my money back but it took considerable effort to get them to do the right thing.
Needless to say after all that I deleted my PayPal account.

I can sort of see the point you’re trying to make (as I too in a comment have called for censorship but in a different but very specific context), but I feel that you’re not exactly acknowledging the issue being discussed in this thread which is that people won’t be able to state their thoughts about the government of a country that is killing people en masse. It’s a moral position that should be easy to support: it’s wrong to ethnically cleanse a population of people.

Jordanlund’s comment could be read/interpreted that way sure, but personally I read it more as “yes gta is a big/popular/genre-defining game, but not my cup of tea” kind of vibe.
I have played and enjoyed previous gta titles, but I myself am partial to slower more thoughtful games like Baldur’s Gate (I suspect same could be said for jordanlund as well).

For those who are feeling disheartened or numb and want/need a little push to get things started, you should check out AOC’s video she posted. It’s like an hour and a half long but she does a good job breaking down the situation, acknowledging the challenges, but also provides examples of things you and everyone else can do to resist.
In her own words/examples, you don’t have to feel like it’s all on just you to rollback illegal FAA staff appointments, to stop musk harvesting USAID, etc. There are specific concrete actions you can take within your capacity to make a difference.

Ahh can’t escape the ghost of chromium I see. No offense taken as I’m not dying on a hill to defend it, but of the browsers I’ve used I like the balance it strikes between what compromises that were made.
Funny enough, before making the switch to it as my main browser, I gave Firefox another shot and liked most of the experience. I also remembered using it quite a bit in middle/high school and generally had a positive experience from those times.
I only decided to go with Vivaldi instead due to the ease of customization over the gui and how certain elements could be dynamically hidden/shown as needed. It was a niche demand of a browser on my part. I remember having a somewhat rough time getting Firefox to do similar things while not intruding on the look or function of other parts of the browser, but I haven’t looked at Firefox recently and how the UX has changed since, and if it weren’t for the previously mentioned personal/niche functionality I was looking for, I think I would have stuck with Firefox over Chrome.

How about Vivaldi?? I’ve switched since last year and it’s been pretty great of a browser. Privacy, ethical/transparent policies, and its development team are users of fediverse socials!
