But you wouldn’t want a genocide enabler in such a high position.
- Comment on SteamOS finally released by Valve 4 weeks ago:
afaik yes, you just have to install Steam and Enable Steam Play. There’s also Lutris which includes support for Steam and other stores.
- Comment on SteamOS finally released by Valve 4 weeks ago:
Unless you specifically want Steam OS’s gaming mode, any Linux distro (Arch definitely) with KDE Plasma 6 will give you more or less the same experience. Not that I don’t think Valve should do so.
- Comment on Catchiest video game song? 4 weeks ago:
It’s gotta be from Final Fantasy, hard to choose just one when you got: Suteki da Ne, real Emotions, Eyes on Me, Sen no Kotoba, Otherworld, One Winged Angel, etc… there’s a reason why I love Theatrhythm. But if I had to it will probably be Melodies of Life.
Actually, I change my mind, this is the catchiest video game song.

I’m still upset about Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & The Polar Night Liberator

The other day I was trying to explain to my uncles that living in a hot desert climate drinking ice coffee makes a lot of sense, but they weren’t convinced.
- Comment on $80 for Borderlands 4 too costly? Randy Pitchford says, "If you're a real fan, you'll find a way to make it happen" 4 weeks ago:
Since I didn’t enjoy the handsome collection I wouldn’t buy it at any price, but even for games I do enjoy I wait until they are on sale preferably with the DLCs included
- Comment on "You can't just have Geralt for every single game" says his voice actor, and if you think The Witcher 4 making Ciri the protagonist is "woke," then "read the damn books" 4 weeks ago:
I like to look at men from behind, not ladies.
I’m the exact opposite, but nothing wrong with your preference.

It should have been clear when the police was cracking down on the university protests in 2024.

Is it because some people are more equal than others?
- Comment on US popularity collapses worldwide in wake of Trump’s return 1 month ago:
The Republican Party has always been worse, but it shouldn’t be the yardstick we judge the Democratic Party by. Otherwise the worse the Republican Party gets overtime the worse the Democratic Party will get too, since the only requirement will be for them to be better than the Republicans and not actually good.
- Comment on US popularity collapses worldwide in wake of Trump’s return 1 month ago:
The Democratic Party does have a progressive wing, but you still have plenty of conservative Democrats who will break rank and vote with Republicans on various issues including women’s rights, immigration and climate change.
Here’s a recent example: Why 35 House Democrats Joined Republicans Against a Major Climate Policy
I don’t have much to add or suggest other than trying to get more progressives to win primaries. But even then sometimes we end up with people like Fetterman who ran as a progressive but now votes with Trump.
- Comment on US popularity collapses worldwide in wake of Trump’s return 1 month ago:
Europe and North America are only 13% of the world population. Most of the rest of the world view the war in Ukraine differently, and are more concerned with wars elsewhere like in Palestine where the West is “the bad guy”.
- Comment on US popularity collapses worldwide in wake of Trump’s return 1 month ago:
The Democratic Party is at best center-right but with their enablement of genocide and crack down on protesters they are probably just as fascist as Republicans.

I think British style plugs are the best despite their bulkiness. For one they are easily fixed and are designed to be so.

It’s free and open source. Someone could always fork it. I have been using OO.o and LO for years now but lately found that OO is better overall.

- Comment on Microsoft is raising prices on Xbox consoles, controllers, and games worldwide 1 month ago:
I pretty much switched to the Steam Deck, but I still have a backlog of games on Xbox that I may end up with one or two last Xboxes if my Series S dies for any reason. Hopefully it lives long enough that I don’t have to get a new Xbox sometime in the future.
- Comment on Microsoft is raising prices on Xbox consoles, controllers, and games worldwide 1 month ago:
Xbox will stick around as a cheap entry point into Game Pass
Not after these price increases
- Comment on Microsoft is raising prices on Xbox consoles, controllers, and games worldwide 1 month ago:
Even though I stopped buying new games on Xbox for sometime now, numerous reasons to boycott Microsoft I’m sure you have yours too. There is still probably another Xbox console or two in my life due to the over 300 game digital library I have accumulated over three generations due to Xbox Live Gold and Microsoft Rewards.
- Comment on The US is Collapsing Like the USSR – So What Comes Next 1 month ago:
No, the real victims are the children who were killed in a hospital or school bombing by the US. If the US is terminally weakened it may be less capable of bombing schools and hospitals halfway across the world.

I sure hope so and hope its takes Israel, and a number of Arab governments, down with it. As someone who used to believe in the myth I am bitter and disgusted by what the US really is and always has been.

The bar in Bart is cognate of bin/ben in Arabic/Hebrew. It features not just in Aramaic but Nabatean Arabic which was heavily influenced by Aramaic.

I never bought a console at launch, this won’t change this time either. I will wait for either the OLED or Lite models, or at least until there’s 5 games that I really want and can’t get anywhere else.

No, that’s nepotism. He wins elections and is popular.
If your criteria is failing to admit to genocides, then every Western “democracy” is a dictatorship, except perhaps Ireland.
