No, that would be mercuryforming Earth. Earth will still have an atmosphere and rainfall, though it may no longer be livable for humans.

I am glad a Suikoden 1 & 2 collection is coming. I missed out on them back in the day and 3 which I played but never finished. I finished 4 and later, including Tactics and Tierkreis.

I still play Ridge Racer Type 4, so I do appreciate well designed games that hold up decades later.

I would expect something like this from my mother country sooner than India. Surprised but not that surprised. The precedent being set is concerning.

Even on Pro or Enterprise editions? I can’t imagine businesses tolerating this never mind governments.

Only if this standard is applied universally. I agree.

I wish I didn’t have to, but federation for technical or political doesn’t work so well so I need an account for Lemmy, Kbin, Mastodon, and other less popular apps like Akkoma. Though 90% of my activity is on Lemmy.

I don’t understand why Elon chose to go mask off. He could have continued pretending to be a sane if eccentric person. I am glad he did but I don’t understand the motives.

It exposes the troll and bot accounts that just downvote while having zero posts.

- Comment on Microsoft begins cracking down on people dodging Windows 11's system requirements 2 months ago:
I only use Windows 11 because it came preinstalled on the latest laptop I bought. Otherwise I have been a Linux user for over 15 years and will switch back sooner or later. Microsoft is making their products the immoral choice and I do recommend boycotting them.
- Comment on The Elon / Trump interview on X started with an immediate tech disaster 3 months ago:
Trump is so predictable and so anti-intellectual, you could generate his responses with AI and they’ll actually be more coherent. It is not enough to do interviews, you have to be sane and informed.
- Comment on The Elon / Trump interview on X started with an immediate tech disaster 3 months ago:
How is X still up? I am equally surprised many are still on the platform given all the bad performance and rate limitations.

Cows not horses. Peninsular Arabs are some of the few populations on Earth with the mutation that allows for lactose tolerance among adults. It developed over millennia of having nothing else to consume.

- Comment on A new report finds Boeing’s rockets are built with an unqualified work force 3 months ago:
Is this “whataboutism”?
Boeing has a track record of shoddy work. As the crown jewel of US manufacturing and the largest exporter, the cumulative failures over the past years are indicative of systemic failures in the US system.
Perhaps there would be less pushback if you heard it from an American?
