- Comment on Google confirms more ads on your paid YouTube Premium Lite soon 2 days ago:
I used to watch YouTube with ads since they added ads. It wasn’t too bad.
Then during the start of Covid tons of people watched YouTube and googles greedy eyes lit up… they went from 1-3 (skipable) ads per video to ads every minute of video. I was like WHAT THE F&$@… then installed unlock.
I couldn’t believe their greed.
I also spent Covid downloading (yt-dlp) every video I wanted to archive for offline, I’m worried for a time we loose YouTube. 99% of the things I loved about the internet is dead now, someday it will happen to YouTube too.

So this is why I got an email that was completely wrong.
I told a guy I used to work for that I moved and it’s the perfect place to help him and his company.
He replied that he hopes I found a house where I used to live.
wtf it’s like he never read the email at all, now that this AI trash was added, the email makes sense.
I guess he is fucked and doesn’t get the help he needs for his company.

Wow you may have played older versions than me. But I did play the console version too, lol to that version too.

Yes the game is awesome, I have played almost 700 hours so far. Offline and online, I ran a few servers too, lots of fun playing with others.

When I installed the Linux version of “7 days to die” the graphics were washed out and bad. I switched to the Linux version with proton and it fixed the game.

That’s sad. People blind to the abuse and deal with it or ignore it.
- Comment on YouTube's new ad strategy is bound to upset users: YouTube Peak Points utilise Gemini to identify moments where users will be most engaged, so advertisers can place ads at the point. 3 weeks ago:
If you pay premium, then you have to be logged in and tracked and spied on and even more four data get sold. You pay them to sell your data!

- Comment on Nintendo Anti-Piracy Policy Device Lock Update Warns of Console Bricks for Unauthorized Use 4 weeks ago:
Back on the mid 2000s I had a PSP, it was awesome. I hacked it and ripped all my games to the memory, so I can have all my games with me. I didn’t like having to bring the delicate UMD, so hacking it really made the device ultimate for me. Also I mostly collect physical games, really don’t like digital only. This gave me the ability to have both.

You really think these companies are inventing this stuff for your benefit? They will read your mind and force ads into your head so they can profit. It’s all about their profits.

- Comment on Moving servers and rack equipment 5 weeks ago:
I just moved across states.
I took everything apart, packed the equipment in boxes using tons of padding. Any extra space in the boxes was filled with extra cables and more padding. Rack mounts that I have come completely apart.
My main servers have hard drives, so I used a lot of foam all around the server and added trackers (air tags) to the servers and my camera stuff.
I’m now off grid so not really in a hurry to setup all this stuff, but happy it seems to have made it here in great condition. Eventually I will setup the rack mounts just to hold the equipment and maybe I will power on things here and there as I feel like playing with them again.

I agree completely, but I did read something tried to be sneaked into an update, and you never really know, software is complicated and maybe some roundabout way to have an exploit using code that looks like it’s intent was something different.

- Comment on What's the point in getting married? 1 month ago:
My wife and met ages ago. We were friends for a while. Went on some dates, and eventually got together. I think we were dating about 8 years before getting married, we knew we were compatible. We didn’t rush anything.
I got married in Vegas, it was a very affordable wedding. That was almost 10 years ago.
If one of us dies, being married is a very easy way to make sure the other person inherits everything they need to survive.
I also see how impressed older people are when we say we are married, it seems so few people get married anymore.
There are so many good reasons to get married. Just be sure before jumping in that both are on the same page of life and goals, compatibility, compromise and understanding, etc.

- Comment on HP agrees million-dollar settlement over "false advertising" on PCs, keyboards 1 month ago:
I had an HP laptop that melted, but they voided the warranty when I unplugged it to stop it melting.
I avoided their products since then. Fucking $1200 gone.
I also have an HP printer and if I were to ever use HP toner it’s over $1000 for the 4 toners. But the generics are way under $100.
I avoid HP!

I had a potentiometer on a circuit board that adjusted a timer, but I found that the timer varied in timing. I ended up replacing with a few resistors and it corrected the variations.
