I’m just a weird, furry, pan guy. I also have a big, blue username. This is my primary Lemmy account, but I have many others like it on other instances.
- Comment on pokémon or dopémon? 2 hours ago:
I refuse to believe any of those are not medications.
- Comment on YSK - a very comprehensive guide on how to avoid "very" 2 hours ago:
Instead of “it hurt very much” you can say “it hurt a fuckton.”
- Comment on pokémon or dopémon? 2 hours ago:
I only recognize two of those as Pokemon, but to be fair: I haven’t kept up since the original 150.
- Comment on Moaning during sex is just applause with your mouth. 5 hours ago:
“My fantasy is to be with Statler and Waldorf at the same time.”
- Comment on What are your thoughts about AI? 6 hours ago:
I want actual AI, and not even necessarily for anything other than answering the question of “can we make a sentient being that isn’t human?”
What is being sold as AI isn’t anything cool, or special, or even super useful outside of extremely specific tasks that are certainly not things that can be sold to the general public.
- Comment on Moaning during sex is just applause with your mouth. 8 hours ago:
That’s just gonna happen naturally if you’re doing it right. Why not just actually boo them? 🤷🏻♂️
- Comment on THE shrimp that fried the rice 8 hours ago:
Just 1 rice? Will that be enough?
- Comment on In the past 20 years, has anyone learned anything watching The Learning Channel (TLC)? 9 hours ago:
TLC could have had it all if they just accepted Don Hertzfeld’s stuff. 😔
- Comment on The most powerful laser in the US recently produced 2 quadrillion watts of power 9 hours ago:
The laser produced power? How do we harness that so we can power the world with lasers? 🤔
- Comment on TIL blocking users on Lemmy is nothing but a placebo 9 hours ago:
Literally every forum, chatroom, and social media site outside of TikTok works the same way it does here. Including Facebook and Reddit. The only thing Reddit does special in this, is that blocked users engagement doesn’t appear to you either. So if you block user ABC, they will still see your posts, but if they vote on it, you won’t see that vote.
- Comment on TIL blocking users on Lemmy is nothing but a placebo 9 hours ago:
It does not work that way on Reddit, unless it is a recent change.
- Comment on TIL blocking users on Lemmy is nothing but a placebo 10 hours ago:
I want to know when and why younger people seem to think that blocking inherently works both ways. It’s almost never worked like that. If you block someone, you are hiding them from your sight; not hiding yourself from theirs.
- Comment on No we can talk here 10 hours ago:
Don’t let them in! It’s a trick!
- Comment on $80 for Borderlands 4 too costly? Randy Pitchford says, "If you're a real fan, you'll find a way to make it happen" 10 hours ago:
What does a 12 year old care about $80? They ain’t spending that. Their parents are.
- Comment on The Witcher III is currently on sale for 3€ until 25th May 10 hours ago:
I kinda wonder if the first one is able to even be finished now… I had that one at launch and I couldn’t finish it due to a CTD bug somewhere in the final act.
- Comment on They're unstoppable 1 day ago:
He is the champion of dying.
- Comment on What level of interest do you have in "empire building" location based games? 1 day ago:
I want to encounter other players and have actual combat but there are apparently laws against that.
- Comment on Finished my 10" rack (for now) 1 day ago:
Damn bro… Nice rack.
- Comment on Who needs it? 1 day ago:
I like some of the content, but will not download the app either. I mostly just want to talk to other people anyway. The funny pictures and videos are just a bonus.
- Comment on What's the worst spelling you've seen? 1 day ago:
No but I use my Lemmy name IRL because my actual name is boring AF.
- Comment on What's the worst spelling you've seen? 1 day ago:
I knew a dude who had the unfortunate name of Harry Butt. Already had enough your family name is “Butt” but his parents did him hella dirty naming him Harry.
- Comment on I'll go first 1 day ago:
Does Lemmy even have a Random Acts of Pizza community? 🤔
The one on Imgur rocks.
- Comment on Opening my eyes slightly more evokes an emotional response. 2 days ago:
If I keep them there long enough, the response becomes “my eyelids hurt and my eyes are drying out.”
- Comment on Why is there steam coming out of the streets in New York 5 weeks ago:
That’s just toxic gas bubbling up from the ruins of Old New York that New York is built on top of. The mutants down there are a steampunk society.
- Comment on Does Anyone Else Find the Sega Genesis' Sound Annoying? 5 weeks ago:
Yes! I have always thought that music and sound on the Genesis sounded horrendous. A few games used the hardware well and made stuff that didn’t suck (Sonic the Hedgehog and Ecco just to name a few), but the vast majority of games, especially those with multiple ports, always sounded the worst on Genesis.
- Comment on Po-tay-toes 1 month ago:
Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.
Fry them, scalloped, julienned too.
- Comment on The salary you need to be considered middle class in every U.S. state 1 month ago:
I’ve never been middle class as an adult. I believe I am what’s known as “dirt fucking poor.”
- Comment on "They basically want to kill me": GOP efforts to turn Musk into a MAGA martyr are backfiring 1 month ago:
Well yeah. They’d be killing people. 🤷🏻♂️ ^/s^
- Comment on Why there are few video games with a lot of mythological pantheons? 1 month ago:
A lot of big fantasy games have a blending of a myriad of mythology. Like everything is inspired by something that came from somewhere. D&D, and by extension many videos games using the rules and settings, is among those included. They have things ranging from typical Anglo-Saxon myths to Japanese kappa, Egyptian gods, and more.
- Comment on Why aren't there mass protests in the USA? 1 month ago:
It’d take me over a month to reach DC if I walked there.
