I feel like I’m missing a joke because of the downvotes on this comment. Or is the joke science illiteracy?
- Comment on So Starbucks’ CEO commutes to work by private jet? Let’s not pretend the super-rich care about the planet 2 months ago:
I would say I would boycott Starbucks, but that would imply they have a product I desire.

Difference: you’re paying for what you eat at a restaurant, you deserve a good meal.
Lemmy is a free and doesn’t owe any of its users shit. Being a dick to someone trying to make the place better (through “feedback”) doesn’t help anyone here.

Agree with the mod here. The user complains without offering ideas. Sure, the comment was “criticism” but it’s far from constructive or useful.

Do you have a good suggestion for a router with this setup. This is how I have my network set up now but I need a router upgrade and can’t seem to find a decent non-WiFi router

They really should have the repair costs in their Budget.

Air “friction” has no dependence on mass though. An airplane will effectively have the same air resistance fully loaded as compared to if empty. The surface area/geometry doesn’t change. Same would apply to Santa’s sled.

$80usd for like 200 mbit down, 10 up. Cable monopoly in my area. FiOS isn’t super far away but it isn’t getting closer…
- Comment on Japanese Institute breaks optical fiber speed record with 22.9 petabits per second — 1,000 times faster than existing cables 11 months ago:
We don’t. The measure is bits/s, which is a speed because it’s measured relative to time. 1 TB is a volume/amount, 1TB/s is a speed.

I take it back. My recall of that CEO had her more recently (like 2015 or so). Must’ve confused with a different company and incompetent CEO.
- Comment on Has HP printers always been this bad? 1 year ago:
Hp printers were shit well before her.

The #a line is usually a bit smaller then the flagships. The 4a was the perfect size. 3a was huge compared to it. 6a is slightly larger than the 4a. The 6 is massive compared to the 6a
