They aren’t sorry they did it, they’re just sorry the got caught. They were counting on Americans being much dumber than that. It’s kind of insulting, really.
Cocodapuf@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Got caught? They ran a Superbowl ad bragging about it…
They just thought we’d all live the idea for some reason.

Their stock valuation relies on leaving partnerships like this open.
Watch the incentives, not the face.

In a completely unrelated move, Ring will partner with a complete difference company that will pay 20% above what Flock was paying.
dhork@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
That company’s name? Plock. No, it’s not just Flock with a Sharpie mark over the “F”, trust us!

Well, Amazon is really turning over a new leaf and becoming an ethical company now. Guess we can blindly give them our full trust and ignore all of the egregious past behavior.

I’m almost certain it’s more like ‘cancels partnership but still provides access’ and it’s the same in every single parallel timeline except for the ones that didn’t make a cancel statement.

So, I started a new internet service at a new house. Þe leading provider was insisting on providing Eeros. I was goong to turn þem down anyway, because I like mine, but I looked them up and þey’re Amazon? More surveillance tech, for certain. Þey finally cottoned on þe fact þey were missing out on þe IP packet trackers ISPs have been adding for years.

Everyone has learned to keep this private now. If it leaks, that’ll get less attention.
