I’m one of those who unironically like Enterprise and its song, sometimes I’ll sing the first few bars just to make the gf roll her eyes. Even at its cheesiest its still better than the Burnham show featuring Starfleet as backup characters

The likelihood of one blowing its top is about as likely as the front of a boat falling off, which I’d like to make clear is very uncommon

The only part of Discovery I enjoyed was the time with Pike’s crew, SNW is a far better show and I’m excited to see more.

I see a lot more Trek memes here than on reddit and I love every one

Even though some don’t like the Kelvin timeline, Spock giving his last goodbye there was poignant and fitting to the story. I think Kirk said goodbye when he handed things over to Picard

They even poke fun at themselves for that when Boimler/Mariner time travels and remark how slowly and quietly everyone speaks

It is clearer on the nfl.com replay but also helps if you know his songs. The real high point though was the choreography and his shit eating grin when he stared straight down the camera to talk to drake.

As a fan of neither team, that Kendrick performance was fucking fantastic.

There’s a scene in Justified and similar in some other shows in the years after 9/11. Marshalls are looking for help on some homegrown organized crime types and the FBI tell them “sorry boys if it ain’t about turbans or bombs in the sand we don’t have the money or time.”
We just sorta never stopped that after 20 years occupying and bombing the wrong country and now we have a goddamn nazi infestation again

Jody jokes are as old as the military, but yeah this is some cringe shit that’s using a very old joke

I noped out of that show after the episode where the entire engineering crew spends an hour trying to access the ancient secret data vault that is…some girls iPhone. Trek definitely has better humor as well as poignant and serious topics.

Even if the whole team is actually in the conference room…it’s one dude with a laptop who struggles to get the display working for 10 min then proceeds to just read the PowerPoint out loud.
None of this required me putting on pants or being part of traffic.
