My wife thinks I’m the only person who would even think that.
She’s a Buff Orpington, and all of our other hens have pun names like “Annie Yolkly”, “Stevie Chicks”, “Ruth Bader Ginsbird”, etc…which makes it even worse.

Your wife is probably right.
You should explian to us why you think it’s inappropriate.
Well, since jokes get funnier as you explain them, prepare for a hilarious adventure.
OP states that he thinks Chloe is inappropriate.
Why though. Chloe is a perfectly cromulent name.
The other chicken’s names are puns related to Stevie Chicks is a pun on Stevie Nicks, Princess Layer is a pun on Princess Layer.
Of course, this isn’t too hard to see.
Still, why does OP think Chloe is inappropriate?
Chloe is similar sounding to a chicken’s (cloaca)[en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloaca]. A comedian might call it a pussy-dick-butt.
Do you see how hilarious it is now that I’ve explained the joke. Gafaw gafaw.
Only needs a couple thousand words more to be a feathery chicken story.
Damn, that is funny.
I’m not seeing the issue here. Could you explain why you think it’s inappropriate?
A cloaca is a bunch of orifices in one. Birds and I think reptiles have them.
Man, lemmy really believes in shooting the messenger
Your wife is right
Your wife is right. That’s a really weird thing to get hung up on. So much so that most people will need an explanation to even make the connection. Are you also the type of guy that can’t eat hotdogs or bananas because they “look too phallic?” No one is making this sexual but you.
Growing up we had two roosters called Rufus and Roscoe. Human names for chickens is funny and I’m sorry but I have to agree with your wife too
Chloe does the tables in the french quarter
Remind your wife that she married you for (or despite) your sense of humour
Chloe Deseggshell. Bam solved!
Human names are great for chickens, we used to have Lavinia, Hypollectrona, Stella and Pigwidgeon.
