Well, at first it was Madeline Stilwell and that sweet sweet mommy milk

Ok, then I separate animated and comedy :p

I like Lower Decks, but it’s not old Trek. Strange New Worlds is great, but I’m so tired of prequels and reboots and blah blah blah

New crew. New ship. Post-DS9. Not an animated comedy. That’s all I want.

The web interface is fantastic. I just use a spare laptop with a wireless keyboard and mouse

They also make you sign in to account on their servers to watch media on your own hardware for some reason, which is why I went with Jellyfin
- Comment on Why do some gamers invert their controls? Scientists now have answers, but they’re not what you think 2 weeks ago:
StarFox on the Super NES (or maybe N64) had inverted controls that couldn’t be changed. I could never go back after I got used to it.
I just tell people to view it like you’re controlling your neck, not your head. You pull your neck back, your line of sight goes up, you push your neck forward, your line of sight goes down.

I didn’t like her becoming the Neo of Star Trek.
If this weren’t an alternate universe, I might be upset about this mindmeld power that Spock forgets about.
- Comment on The Job Market Is HellYoung people are using ChatGPT to write their applications; HR is using AI to read them; no one is getting hired. 4 weeks ago:
Yeah it’s not completely dead. I work as a freelancer and I haven’t applied for a job in years, yet I have… 8? I don’t even know any more. Most of my work comes from people that say, “hey I know a guy that need someone for such-and-such gig, are you available?”
Although, sometimes they’re all slow and o get an unplanned week off work every now and then. January is usually the worst.
- Comment on Plex got hacked. 4 weeks ago:
No doubt. Why do you need an account on their servers to use a server on your own hardware? So dumb.
- Comment on Just a little bit more 5 weeks ago:
Mine was a trailer tire on a triaxle. I still had 11 tires back there, so it was easy to find a safe spot to stop. I got lucky n that way.
- Comment on Just a little bit more 5 weeks ago:
Yeah they happen with enough regularity that companies aren’t surprised, especially if they have a lot of trucks.
So the smart move as a car-driver is not to linger by the tires ever. Really, just never linger by them.
- Comment on Just a little bit more 5 weeks ago:
It’s 110-120 for semi trucks. Just a note to not linger by their tires. Blowouts are statistically uncommon, but there’s a lot of trucks out there

Yeah I mean, I get that it’s not all of you. I suppose I don’t make that clear in my first comment though. My bad.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
Hey, I’m not making judgements here, but it shouldn’t be surprising that fucking people in animal costumes while railing ketamine and MDMA comes across as weird to some people.

Yeah fuck that I wouldn’t let US planes in my airspace if I were Ukraine

Not if you buy a gift card before you find a game you want

You know weird means. Don’t be daft.
To clarify my position a bit, I don’t care what people do as long as everyone involved consents, but that doesn’t mean I have to accept it as normal.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
Nothing as far as I’m concerned. It’s the fur suit that makes it weird.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
Every furry I’ve known personally has participated in these.
Clean up your scene and people won’t associate that with you.

I think it’s the drug-fuelled sex parties that weirds people out.

How do you mean low value? I definitely see value in being able to have every package available offline in certain settings.
Maybe you got a cabin with a sick (single player) gaming setup but no internet (I dunno I’m spitballin’) and you want to do some updates.
Pack up a drive with everything possible and make it happen!

Yeah and I know one of my laptops only has a 250GB drive.
I thought it was a typo at first, but it was explained. I get it now :)

Yeah no doubt no doubt. I thought it was maybe a typo or something and was supposed to be 4.3, like someone hit 0 on the numpad :D
It makes sense now

Sorry, but 403GB?
That’s a lot of space for an OS, isn’t it?
