So… did ALL the hackers just become Nazis, or does the left have any tech firepower at all?
Donjamos@lemmy.world 1 day ago
The left is Usually busy discussing wether Lenins or Marxs beard was more awesome…

And then falling out over it anyway.
nickwitha_k@lemmy.sdf.org 1 day ago
Both were less impressive than the beard of Edward Teach.

The left have been to busy trying to avoid surveillance to think about this.

Maybe there are no hackers, just calculated leaks

Paxton’s office, in an explanation of the common-law privacy exception on its website, mentions that “personal financial information” that doesn’t deal with government transactions “is generally highly intimate or embarrassing and must be withheld.”
Bribing you mean.

He was probably stupid enough to engage in quid pro quo corruption, which is one of the very few illegal forms of corruption in the US.
GreyEyedGhost@lemmy.ca 1 day ago
Without even knowing this, I knew “intimate and embarrassing” was referring to money.

We ALL know we’ve been sold out. What we want to know NOW is for how much.
How much were we worth…to YOU???
interdimensionalmeme@lemmy.ml 1 day ago
You know very well, it’s a embarrassingly small amount. An amount so small it made Elon blush. Money has long been directly convertible into political power but politicians have been indigne for a while now. They are all, almost all, very cheap little removed (no shame to removed I love you, but politicians are very ick)

What if it’s more sad, and he wanted to see if a neuro chip and mechanical legs could make him walk again?
Bosht@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
Nah. More likely wanted a cyber dong with built in racial filtering. Dude is a piece of shit.
IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
that sounds like something that will make people empathise with him, it’ll definitely be good publicity.
so I doubt it’s a relatable thing

Oh they talked about something they shouldn’t have. Over email.
nickiwest@lemmy.world 1 day ago
I assume they were trash-talking el presidente together, which could be political suicide for a Republican in Texas.
outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 21 hours ago
I think that’s the least fun/horrible answer.

Aleshire added that due to a recent Texas Supreme Court ruling, there is effectively no way to enforce public records laws against Abbott and other top state officials. He called the decision an “ace card” for these politicians.
