      There are drivers for USB products written in JavaScript. Like the calibration tool for the PS5 controller and iirc a driver for a mini disk player

        Is that the driver or just the configuration interface in Javascript?

        I would suspect that the actual driver is written in C.

      *Javascript (Java is a different language altogether).

      Side thought; you just reminded me of the days when websites were running Java applets or Shockwave all over the place. shudders

        Followed by a short period of separation of content and layout that was ended by returning to the stone age of client-specific Javascript. Another example of “why we can’t have good things”.
