That was such a culture shock when I went to the us for the first time.
In Germany and many places in Europe do not think of burgers as sandwiches. I was so confused when I ordered a sandwich and got something like a burger.
I expected something like this
I expected something like this. My confusion must’ve been quite the sight, the waitress even seemed concerned. Tasted great though.

Nope. Almost every day I learn something new.

Why are Americans so riled up about this?
Do you guys not realize that this reaction is literally one of the reasons they do this? To be a distraction and to show their base that they made the bad people™ cry about it.

That’s a common misconception. You can measure a lot of ambient noise and extract entropy. Like time between inputs or how long it took an HDD to seek.
Most modern PC CPUs even have dedicated hardware for generating random numbers from electrical ambient noise. I don’t trust them however.

If baveria wasn’t one of the worst NIMBY hell holes in the (known by me) world.
- Comment on Germany hits 62.7% renewables in 2024 energy mix, with solar contributing 14% 1 month ago:
Ehh no. Germany never had that much nuclear in its energy mix. At most it was 10-15%. Compare that to France with their around 30-40% nuclear energy in the mix.

- Comment on The Joy is Gone: A Liberal Hate-Fest for the Holidays 2 months ago:
Not American but one of the authors main points is that some restaurants / venues in DC said they will not serve officials from the Trump administration.
Was it not a main republican talking point that a business can serve whomever they want?
While the author does not scream for regulation it does seem he takes offense of people using their rights, no?
This opinion piece is also extremely biased. Presenting this as if the hate does not come from all sides which to me as a third party observer is self evident.

I don’t see why an nfs setup wouldn’t work but it could generate a lot of network traffic.
In the end test for yourself if the performance is acceptable and keep a backup

I was thinking of doing that if I actually move to Finland.
Having been to Finland before I know that it’s not very useful in everyday situations but it’s still useful and way easier to learn than finnish. Especially as I speak German.
