Zuckerberg refused to take meetings before noon, even with heads of state

This is the most normal thing about him

Fuck yeah. Fuck early risers. Use middle risers deserve the spotlight for once!

      even?

For Zuckerberg, heads of state are employees. Why else would a billionaire donate?

he spends his day “recharging” and downloading DATA from meta into his android brain.

The fact that Meta is so desperately trying to destroy this book and its author must mean that it’s factual to a tee. I hope we can Streisand Effect this into the NYT Best Sellers list.

This book is also available on Amazon, which I imagine will cause some Zuck on Bezos frowning at their next trump meeting.

What would their response look like if it were almost entirely hyperbole and fiction?

Would they just let that sit on shelves uncontested orrrrr…would they launch a PR blitz to discredit the author and book?

They’d threaten legal action for defamation and bury it before it was published.

Some of the most telling anecdotes in Careless People involve Kaplan, who joined Facebook’s policy team in 2011 and was promoted to Chief Global Affairs Officer earlier this year. She writes that Kaplan, who was a deputy chief of staff in the George W. Bush White House, was “surprised to learn Taiwan is an island” and that “often when we start to talk about pressing issues in some country in Latin America or Asia, he stops and asks me to explain where the country is.”

This almost seems difficult to believe, but considering the state of the world, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is true.

This almost seems difficult to believe, but considering the state of the world, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is true.

30% of Americans were okay with bombing Agrabah, from Disney’s Aladin.

80% of Americans thought food labels should say if the food contains “DNA”…that 33 percent of respondents thought that non-GM tomatoes “did not contain genes” and 32 percent thought that “vegetables did not have DNA.” So there’s that.

A majority of Americans are dumb and all of those people are even dumber than you can imagine.

I was refering to Kaplan specifically. Considering his background it seems a bit strange, but unfortunately very much believable. :(

These people should be permanently purged from the voter rolls.

seems like they polled all boomers and rural folk.

I’m relieved that people are so into labeling even if they don’t understand it. You can’t become informed without information.

Not surprised at the stupidity. People are dumb, selfish, and entitled. Americans are a great example, but it’s not only Americans. We just did the speed running version.

There is an international court that is responsible for prosecuting individuals for crimes like genocide oder crimes agains humanity. It’s sensible to collect all evidence and put Zuckerberg & Co on trial to see how deep their involvement goes

      source
      • Alphane_Moon@lemmy.world ⁨2⁩ ⁨months⁩ ago

Definitely, US courts lack institutional maturity for such cases.

There are presidents with war criminals in some African countries being tried in international court system due to challenges with local courts systems.

Perhaps you missed the headlines when the ICC called out Facebook for actively, deliberately obstructing the ICC genocide investigation into the Rohingya genocide.

He’ll get the kissinger treatment and be rolled out to ‘prestigious’ public events like olympic basketball in roder to shore up his credibility as a ‘great american’, (that they even use an insulation strategy like this is a US gov admission that HK was a war crim)

I would prefer to send all of them to dig graves for the victims of various genocides and conflicts.

So she’s not allowed to promote it while it’s tied up in the courts. I guess I should order a few dozen copies before it gets banned!

I bought a physical copy. My first physical book in over decade. I figure with the lengths Meta/Zuck are going to bury it, a physical one can’t be taken away the same way a digital one can.

What’s weird is that these people are so awful, so horrible as leaders, and so wasteful and stupid with the massive fortune they’ve found and we all can change it with one simple press of a button - and we don’t.

It’s real hard to press that button - its built into a locked briefcase and stashed in a bunker under the whitehouse. You also need a code for the button to do anything, I think.

Once I heard on 60 minutes Meta was attempting to shut down the sale of the book, I immediately bought one on release day at a local bookstore. Will read it once I have the time!

Oh noes. Does Meta want something fact checked? Is it worried about misinformation and fake news?

I bought it as soon as I heard about them trying to bury it.

Avoiding amazon, I bought it from a Canadian company. In hindsight, I should have got off my lazy ass and bought it from a local bookstore.

Looking forward to reading this one.
