I was just telling my SO that foldables aren’t “mainstream” because Apple hasn’t made one. Still not interested but I guess foldable phones are mainstream.

Atari Jaguar. No one I knew had one and the only place to play one was a single game store in a mall that you had to pay to play. I paid twice to play and was in love.
- Comment on Nintendo issues Switch 2 supply warning in Japan: 2.2 million people have applied to buy the new console in Japan so far, which ‘far exceeds’ Nintendo’s expectations. 3 weeks ago:
More confirmation that waiting a year or two before even considering buying a Switch2 is a good idea.
- Comment on CVE fallout: The splintering of the standard vulnerability tracking system has begun 4 weeks ago:
I can only assume the stories about CVE have pushed it to the top but I just search “European vulnerability database” and first link went to the database.

The dream is they start offering free digital versions of older games affected by disc rot. The reality is they re-release them digitally at stupid prices.

Of course they will delete the old system entirely. Saving it would just be wasteful, and intelligent.

We will find out just how good AI is with coding in a few months when it replaces the SSA’s COBOL.
My guess? Catastrophic.

This almost seems difficult to believe, but considering the state of the world, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is true.
30% of Americans were okay with bombing Agrabah, from Disney’s Aladin.
A majority of Americans are dumb and all of those people are even dumber than you can imagine.

- Comment on How fast can the body absorb vitamin B12? 2 months ago:

Safety and side effects
When taken at appropriate doses, vitamin B-12 supplements are generally considered safe. While the recommended daily amount of vitamin B-12 for adults is 2.4 micrograms, higher doses have been found to be safe. Your body absorbs only as much as it needs, and any excess passes through your urine.
High doses of vitamin B-12, such as those used to treat a deficiency, might cause:
Headache Nausea and vomiting Diarrhea Fatigue or weakness Tingling sensation in hands and feet
Emphasis mine.

- Comment on The surveillance tech waiting for workers as they return to the office 2 months ago:
I left my last job because they mandated two days in office every month. They said it was to “promote team unity”. I kindly pointed out that: 1.) They renewed office space leases during COVID lockdowns and clearly didn’t want to pay for space that wasn’t being used. 2.) Every other person on my team was on the opposite coast as me. 3.) And finally I pointed out the recent offshoring of services, back office and customer facing, clearly showed my position would get the axe sooner than later, I was back office.
They really didn’t like that.
