Good thing that second word is sufficiently censored or I wouldn’t be able to read it.
Grind or something

So the key to success lies in the throws of addiction? I think I’d rather be mediocre, thanks.

I think you’re more right than you may have intended.

I’ve forgone work/life balance for success in the past. In my experience, it’s rarely worth it.

I hate to be the one to say this first but “tweaking” is usually associated with meth use, not crack.

Yeah crackheads are just always getting up to some nonsense to get money for more crack, or at least so I thought

Is crackhead a curse word now?
Frozengyro@lemmy.world 1 month ago
The Internet has become a very censored place in the last few years. Lots of words that aren’t cursed get censored: suicide, guns, sex, drugs, actual drug names. I think it started from tik tok censoring words cause china, but also people afraid to ‘trigger’ others and then it kinda became its own thing unfortunately.

The stupidest instance in recent memory was an LGBT-positive video saying “It’s okay to be queer!” but in the captions, inserting another one of those fucking dinky-ass asterisks into the word “queer”.
Okay, so is it NOT okay to be queer? Should we censor “boy” and “girl” next? Or maybe stop with the silly asterisks and blame the medium that actually tries with the bans.

I got a ban on Facebook for using the word “fatty”. Didn’t matter I was talking about the breakdown of fatty acids in digestion, because “fatty” is bad.

You’re blaming the wrong people. Being sensitive of triggers is a good thing, advertisers are the problem.
If you look into the history of radio & television, you’ll see the same pattern. Like the interne, at first, they were an awesome medium anyone could use and all kinds of badass stuff happened. Over time, everything became consolidated & advertisers insisted on censoring for maximum efficiency.
Eye on the ball.
