Okay. Have you tried looking elsewhere than a blog post that never claimed to be “the truth”?

Okay so how does that compare to whatever competition you’re referencing

That’s not what misattributed means especially regarding a quote. It would be misattributed if they said someone else’s name. Anyways how is it wrong (or whatever you meant) to say that what he’s saying about an older version of similar tech is applicable to a newer iteration?

What quote is misattributed? Also it appears to be a blog post, I don’t really think its intention is to report on the facts but rather provide analysis. Fuck OpenAI for this and many other things, the ire is well deserved.

- Comment on Is 33 cents a small amount of money? 2 weeks ago:
Nah. There’s good people here and even the people who voted for this deserve to have their needs met, many of then are only personally responsible for a tiny fraction of the immense harm caused by the systems of power. And they may not have caused any harm if they lived in a place where people are always taken care of as well as is reasonably possible. there is immense pressure to shed empathy and embrace individualism and forego the many benefits of community such as efficient and effective collaboration, for example to prevent a disease from spreading or at least reducing the harm it causes. As many of us can see, especially obviously in the US, the goal isn’t actually to stop causing harm in the first place, or even reduce the harm that must be caused for your society to function, the cruelty is often quite literally the point.

How about all tech backdoors are bad and we should aim to use and make software and hardware that is ethically produced and usable without selling out your privacy and security?

attempting to change the topic we are actually discussing
How exactly am I doing that by pointing out that you’re not actually arguing in good faith?
You are projecting in your accusation that I am attempting to change the topic, as you are the one who initially posted a top level comment attempting to shift the blame to politicians for convincing people to buy a car from a known Nazi’s company, which by the way is a bullshit premise in the first place for many reasons including that there are plenty of other EV manufacturers and no one forced anyone to buy a Nazi car.

- Comment on Facebook Cybertruck Owners Group Copes With Relentless Mockery 3 weeks ago:
You’re being disingenuous, for example by equating the cybertrucks and some other Teslas being “damaged” (sure in some cases but not by slices of cheese or notes) with any and all electric cars, or by equating the negative sentiment against Tesla with negative sentiment against any EV.
- Comment on Facebook Cybertruck Owners Group Copes With Relentless Mockery 3 weeks ago:

Not necessarily the same targets but they clearly have both the ability and motive to do such surveillance and many agencies have been implicated in massive spying programs and other surveillance and information operations, so it’s reasonable to think that some of them are doing what you say as well.
