Yes, I know that, but they haven’t done anything egregious in quite some time. Microsoft, Sony, Take-two, Embracer and Activision have been been making a lot worse headlines for the last few years now.

This is a meme at this point right? I can’t remember the last time EA actually did anything remotely as bad.

- Comment on Humans share the web equally with bots, report warns amid fears of ‘dead internet’ 1 month ago:
No, that is not what I was talking about. In the current environment it is completely possible for some people to only have interactions with bots online, without even knowing. This may get worse and worse in the future. THAT is what “dead” internet implies, lifeless online interactions essentially.

You’re taking the word “dying” too literally

By feature I just mean it being mandatory now
- Comment on Helldivers 2 Players Express Frustration On Steam As It Will Soon Require A PSN Account 1 month ago:
This feature doesn’t affect me personally, but it is still very scummy to add it after launch. Long after refund window is out of the question.

- Comment on Skateboarding studio Roll7 is reportedly being closed down by parent company Take-Two 1 month ago:
That is devastating, Rollderdrome and OlliOlli world are fantastic games that have such fun gameplay and tight controls. Roll7 has existed for a while and have only been under Take-two since 2021.

I don’t know if I could live with myself knowing how many lives I ruined, maybe that’s why the shit floats to the top. Sane people are not as accomplished because they “don’t make the tough decisions”.
- Comment on What are you playing this week? April 22 2024 Edition 2 months ago:
Helldivers II, it is kinda scratching that Monster Hunter itch for me.
Also playing Odin Sphere, but idk if I’m into it. I enjoyed playing for 10hrs, but I’m just kinda bored now. I am enjoying the story, but the gameplay just feels repetitive at this point. - Comment on Killing the Middlemen in the Rideshare Industry 2 months ago:
I do t get what happens in the backend, but you I can’t convince me that these companies should be multi-billion dollar companies.
- Comment on The Way Forward, an update from the team behind Cities: Skylines 2 months ago:
At the end of the day it’s apples to oranges. The behind the scene development is so different that we can’t really judge them properly, we just have other modern games to compare them to.
- Comment on Google Ramps Up Crackdown on YouTube Ad-Blocking, Targets Third-Party Apps 2 months ago:
Sorry, I think I worded it poorly. I was saying that Netflix and Spotify were good, but not Netflix got a bit neutered after other companies came in. Spotify is still amazing though.
- Comment on Google Ramps Up Crackdown on YouTube Ad-Blocking, Targets Third-Party Apps 2 months ago:
Just 10mins ago I was thinking how great the digital age started. I liked that when I bought something I can store it anywhere, play/listen (don’t remember if digital movies was a thing) it without any internet connection etc. Then we got Netflix and eventually Spotify and we got even more options, do you want to pay a reasonable price a month and watch/play essentially anything or do you want to keep your stuff forever and pay more? But then other companies wanted that piece of pie and started their own services, neutered existing services, raise prices often, got more aggressive with drm and other limitations. My point is, when things start and they seem good in this tech world of ours, just think a bit outside of the box about how bad it can get, because believe me, you are likely correct with that. When this digital age started, people were fearful too, and most of their fears came true.

This meme format having a redemption arc is my favorite. It wasn’t super sexist, but it was just unnecessarily sexist.

- Comment on Judge rules YouTube, Facebook and Reddit must face lawsuits claiming they helped radicalize a mass shooter | CNN Business 3 months ago:
This may seem baseless, but I have seen this from years of experience in online forums. You don’t have to take it seriously, but maybe you can relate. We have seen time and time again that if there is no moderation then the shit floats to the top. The reason being that when people can’t post something creative or fun, but they still want the attention, they will post negative. It’s the loud minority, but it’s a very dedicated loud minority. Let’s say we have 5 people and 4 of them are very creative time and funny, but 1 of them complains all the time. If they make posts to the same community then there is a very good chance that the one negative person will make a lot more posts than the 4 creative types.

Clash of ninja games were a better series than Ninja Storm, it sucks that the flashier games were more popular and ended up “winning”.
