TBH its not the users fault, the documentation is always like (click here for docker install instructions, or if you don’t want docker click here for bare metal instructions) and the latter is just apt get and some config edits.
- Comment on The whole "toilet seat up, toilet seat down" gender debate could be solved by everybody putting the seat and lid down. 2 weeks ago:
Well dang. Reading this article does provide q couple more details though:
* Another referenced study DID find that closing the lid reduced contamination
* It depends on the toilet shape
* Closing the lid does change the areas that get contaminated in the room:

Most toilet visits require the seat down
Lid closed when flushing prevents contamination particles spraying everywhere - Comment on Wikipeter was the founder of the site in 1993 when he wanted to know more about model trains without having to visit the library 2 weeks ago:

I’ll add to the chorus here saying I really liked GTA2. I dunno where the article got the idea people ‘hated’ it

- Comment on Petlibro: Your Pet Feeder Is Feeding Data To Anyone Who Asks 2 weeks ago:
I’ve known cats who will eat themselves into obesity if the bowl is always full, but this may be true for some cats. I do agree that feeding does create a bonding ritual - but on the other side of that coin, it will make them bug the crap out of you when you havent fed them on their expected schedule. I don’t see a big issue with having a tool automatically refill the bowl every day.

Good call. According to wiki, the French escala is descended from the Latin scala (ladder)
- Comment on How do you manage your home server configuration? 4 weeks ago:
I used to have a fille with every cli command and notes on how each thing was set up. When I had to reinstall it from scratch it took all day going through lots of manual steps and remembering how it should all go.
Recently I converted the whole thing to Ansible. Now I could rebuild my entire system from a fresh install with one command that completes in minutes. If I ever break anything, it will reset everything to its intended state and leave it alone otherwise. And it’s pretty easy to learn and start using.

- Comment on Bread mold 1 month ago:
Let me put it this way: when I get american cheese at my local deli (I like the white) it is delicious and much like eating any other deli cheese. When I get Kraft slices, they are like eating solidified vegetable oil, with weird bubbles texture, individually wrapped in plastic. Theres a difference.
- Comment on Bread mold 1 month ago:
American Cheese is a processed mix of cheeses like Colby and Cheddar, and is great.
Kraft American “Cheese Product” is the square sliced “plastic” one people think of.

I have a pretty bad memory and I still knew what caused the name. But I was aware of it when it happened, not learning about it much later. That probably helps.
